DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION AND TRANSFER OF WASTE
We conduct daily collection of solid waste through door to door services. Such services have been
expanded to about 19,000 households in Kathmandu valley that includes 75,000 families thus
reaching to 300,000 people.

WASTE SEGREGATION
We promote the waste segregation program at the source of production level (households kitchen).
From the past two years, 3,000 families of Ichangu Narayan and Sitapaila VDCs of Kathmandu district
are segregating the household waste into two parts (degradable and non-degradable). For this purpose,
two separate buckets, green for degradable and red for non-biodegradable waste, has been provided to
each family. This program is supported by the Japanese Embassy in Nepal. Likewise 500 families of
Ward No.3 and 4 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City are also undertaking the same activity.
