MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES AT IGNOU

Starting its operation in 1987, the School of Management

Studies today offers a wide range of courses with the
recognition of AICTE. The School follows a system of
course-wise registration in its Management Programme.
The Programme has been divided into two semesters
every year: January to June and July to December.
Consequently there will be two examinations every year:
one in June and the other in December
Admission Procedure:
The selection will be done through conducting an
entrance test OPENMAT and the test will be conducted
during February and August of every year at selected
places in India.
The advertisement for the admission to Management
Programmes will appear in all the leading newspapers
during MAY and NOVEMBER months.
The prospectus for the forthcoming OPENMAT will be
available at all the IGNOU Study Centres and also at the
Regional Center from the 1st week of May 2007 and the
last date to send the filled-in application to the IGNOU
H.Qrs, New Delhi is 31st May 2007. It costs of Rs. 500/- in
person and Rs.550/- by post. It can also be downloaded
from www.ignou.ac.in .

Note: The University may consider other degrees to this list of equivalent
professional degree/qualification.

All programmes are offered in English only.

Supervisory experience means that the person is in the supervisory cadre and
supervising or looking after the work of a minimum of three subordinates
reporting to him/her.
Managerial experience means that the person is concerned with decision
making responsibilities. Experience means work experience of a person
during or after acquiring the qualifications as specified above.
Professional means a person holding a degree in Engg, Tech, Law, Medicine
etc.

FEATURES OF THE PROGRAMME

DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (DIM): MS-1,2,3 and any 2 courses from
MS-4 to 7

P.G.DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (PGDIM): MS-1 to MS-11

P.G.DIPLOMA WITH SPECIALISATION: Any 5 Courses from the
specialized streams such as HR or FINANCE or OPERATIONS or
MARKETING.

MBA WITH THE SPECIALISATION: All the above including MS-91, 95,
100 and one from MS-92, 93, 94, 96 and 97
