Betore starting operations on vehicle, make sure the
ignition key is set to “GARAGE” position, and battery
ground cable has been disconnacted. in addition:
= Do not connect contro! units output directly to the

whose wires are connected to “positive” or "ground"
unless the control unit has been previously discon-
nected.
Donotshort-circuit system sensors unless otherwise
slated.
Before arch welding on vehicle's frame, disconnect
Control units to prevent possible damage of elec-
tronic components by induced currents.
NOTE: Whenworkingonthe systems, bearin mind the
possible consequences, and do not carry-out
any operationit not familiar with characteristics
of components concerned
+ Perform reassembly andior installation by
reversing the order of disassembly and/or
removal procedures, unless spectic in-
structions are supplied, and restore con-
nection of battery.
Following replacement of a component of
the electrical system, itis recommended to
replenish the stock with original ALFA
‘ ROMEO spares. Use of non original ALFA
ROMEO spares, even with slightly dierent
characteristics, couldattect proper, reliable
