Scope of the Position

The Intern for Global Prospects will conduct prospect research for global advancement opportunities, strategies to establish
and maintain relationships with international/local organizations and philanthropic foundation contacts to develop funded
programs for dreamflys advancement.

Summary of Key Functions

Conduct prospect research with regard to the availability of advancement opportunities for dreamfly.
Develop strategies for building and maintaining relationships with national, international, multilateral and bilateral
funding agencies, including diplomatic missions and consulates, as well as individual donors abroad from an
advancement and giving perspective.

Develop proposal concepts, perform proposal research, drafting, edit and prepare proposal(s) for submission and
maintain and provide proposals on file.

4.

Establish and maintain an organized and extensive donor management database, ensuring frequent
correspondence and timely updates.

5.

Ensure prompt and sincere acknowledgement of gifts from foundations and aid organizations.

6.

Other duties as assigned, including working at donor and other large-scale campus events.

Qualifications
and Skills
Required

Required Qualification, Experience and Skills

1.
Currently studying a Bachelors degree in an accredited, preferably, liberal arts
institution with a strong background in the social sciences. Preferably
Sophomore/Junior year students.
2.
Reasonable professional research and writing experience, preferably in an
international setting or geared towards international fundraising
3.

Excellent bi-lingual written and verbal communication skills

4.

Knowledge and familiarity with program research techniques

5.

Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and with little supervision
and be extremely detail-oriented.

6.

Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of a very young and fast-growing

organization

Back in 2007, dreamfly was founded by Umaimah Mendhro to encourage the children of her village to dare to dream; to globally
connect with those who share the same dreams as theirs and to become considerate citizens. dreamfly started with its mission in
Pakistan by building a primary school in a village Akri, situated in Sindhs coastal district Golarchi. Since that time, dreamfly has
expanded its projects to several other countries, such as India, Afghanistan, Rwanda and Colombia, thereby embarking on a global
mission of connecting the societies in conflict and empowering them.
