FOR ANALYSIS
SOME problems are given the analyst by operating people. Decisions are
frequently required, for example, on proposed expenditures for new facilities, facilities that will either expand sales or reduce costs.
But the highest form of analysis is to uncover problems that have not
been recognized. A problem, once identified, is already half solved. Problems that are not recognized may cause serious damage.
What are some of the problems that an analyst can seek out?
