You are a peasant shepherd attempting to rescue the Kings daughter by vanquishing the Dragon guarding her. King has sent many of his
knights inside but they have all been defeated. Their weapons, armour and supplies litter the caverns. He will not send anymore of his knights
inside. You have endeavored to rescue her yourself. You have nothing but a stick and no armour to begin with. Your starting FS is 1-15, 15
being easiest game difficulty and 1 being most difficult. Gather armour and weapons and health elixirs to gain additional FS. Also gain FS by
defeating monsters. Hopefully you will have enough FS and luck to defeat the Dragon when you find him.
Played with regular playing cards. Draw one card each turn and refer to table below. Lay down cards which refer to dungeon layout.
Resolve all encounters by drawing cards. Reshuffle deck.
Combat Resolution: Your Fighting Strength (FS) minus Opponents FS, highest gets to add excess as bonus; each side draws a card:
You vs. Monsters=best of 5 rounds (1st to win 3); You vs. Dragon=best of 9 rounds (1st to win 5); Aces always win; 2s always lose; in
case of a tie both draw again. If you defeat monster, then suffer -1 FS for each round of combat lost, then add applicable bonus FS for
the combat experience. To retreat from monster before engaging in combat= -1 FS damage; once you begin combat you must fight
until combat is resolved. To backtrack through previously explored tunnel= -1 FS per 5 spaces due to weariness.
