perfect man. He might have
his own defects and weaknesses. Some attribute his
sensitiveness, credulity, being unsociable and untidiness to his weaknesses. But
his honesty, frankness, selflessness, resoluteness, perseverance, patriotism, could
surpass these so-called
weaknesses. To be candid,
neither be I an idolist nor I
stick to personal cult. But I
hold Bogyoke in high esteem, - not for his public celebrity nor for his being a
public figure. It is his selflessness or having no interest
in personal gain and his resoluteness which made the impossible the possible , that is,
with a rabble army with a
minimum training, he fought
against that of the sun-neverset empire that make me admire and adore him. Today,
it has been 68 years since
Bogyoke left us behind. But
we still remember him for
these elusive qualities of his.
The present population of
our country stands at over 50
million. If only one million
people out of them have selflessness and resoluteness
like Bogyoke, we, I honestly
believe, could pull our country out of the depth of poverty. Especially, I would like
