II. CARACTERIZACIN DE LA ASIGNATURA

El curso Ingls Intermedio Intensivo I, est orientado a la formacin general de los futuros profesionales de la Facultad
de Ciencias Fsicas y Matemticas, la cual brinda la base lingstica necesaria para la comunicacin en Ingls;
desarrollando habilidades de comprensin y produccin oral y escrita, enfocado a las necesidades lexicales propias de
un nivel intermedio intensivo, la que constituye el soporte indispensable para comprender y explicar las diversas formas
de relacionarse en un mundo globalizado; as como tambin, adquirir conocimientos relacionados con la ciencia y
tecnologa de la actualidad.
El contenido del curso Ingls Intermedio Intensivo I se organiza en dos unidades de aprendizaje: la primera unidad
contiene informacin sobre The Present Simple Tense, The Present Continuous Tense, The Past
Simple Tense and The Past ContinuousTense donde aprender a pedir y dar informacin sobre eventos o
hechos que ocorren en la actualidad o sucedieron en el pasado, en la cual utilizarn correctamente las estructuras
gramaticales para formar oraciones en forma afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa usando la estructura gramatical
correcta en dicho tiempo; la segunda unidad contiene informacin sobre The Present Perfect, en forma afirmativa,
negativa e interrogativa, usndolo en diversas situaciones de la vida diaria y en el contexto apropiado; adems
ampliar su vocabulario lexical mediante la adquisicin de palabras nuevas haciendo uso de Reading passages
para trabajar comprensin y produccin de textos.

pronunciation and intonation at speaking.
-Introduces and practices the Present Simple Tense by descri
daily activities that a person does in his/her everyday life.
-Understand short reading passages containing the Present Sim
Tense and the Present Continuous Tense by solving a so
exercises about these tenses.
-Contrasts the Present Simple & Present Continuous Tens
doing different kind of exercises in short reading passages.
- Introduces and practices the Past Tense the verb to be (was-we
in positive, negative and interrogative.
- Becomes familiar with some regular and irregular verbs by giving
and asking for information about important events that occurred in
past.
- Talks about a relevant personal event that happened in the past.
- Infers the meaning of the present perfect tense by listening and
reading short dialogues.
- Uses the correct expressions to form the present perfect tense.
- Contrast the Past Simple & Present Perfect tenses.
- Describe a personal event that started in the past and continue to t

IV. METODOLOGA
4.1 La metodologa est dentro del enfoque del Communicative Approach, basado en la comunicacin
como principal objeto de aprendizaje; as mismo, se utilizar el mtodo eclctico como ayuda y mejor forma
de comprensin para el estudiante.
4.2. Los temas presentados son de inters y de gran significatividad para el estudiante, utilizando modelos de
estructuras lingsticas insertadas en contextos reales permitiendo el proceso aprendizaje-enseanza.
4.3 Se complementar el trabajo con exposiciones, reportes escritos y participaciones de los estudiantes; as
como tambin, se formar grupos de trabajo cooperativo de acuerdo a la actividad programada.
V. MEDIOS Y MATERIALES
Se utilizar bsicamente lecturas selectivas, hojas de trabajo, pizarra, markers, laptop, proyector multimedia,
flashcards, letras de canciones y otros.
VI. EVALUACIN
La evaluacin ser formativa (permanente) y se tomar en cuenta lo siguiente:
6.1. Aspectos a evaluar.
Participacin en clase / trabajos (exposiciones individuales y grupales), evaluacin parcial, evaluacin final.
Participacin /Trabajo (individual/grupal) + Ex. Parcial + Ex. Final + Actitud = Promedio
6.2. Actitudes
Participacin activa y permanente en el desarrollo de cada sesin.
Presentacin oportuna de reportes/trabajos parciales.
Puntualidad (el estudiante al comenzar el curso empezar con nota 20, por cada inasistencia y por cada
tardanza se le descontar 3 puntos). La puntualidad al ingreso a clases al inicio de cada sesin y
despus de receso sern tomadas en cuenta como parte de la formacin acadmica y actitudinal del
idioma y cultura en estudio.
6.3. Instrumentos de evaluacin

* El estudiante que no acredite un rcord de asistencia en las sesiones o actividades programadas en un 70% (mnimo 6 de 8
asistencias) quedar inhabilitado del curso y perder el derecho de participar de la clase.
** Se considera tardanza despus de los 5 minutos de tolerancia de la hora de inicio.
*** Se considera falta a clases a la ausencia de firma y n de cdigo en la hoja de registro.
