Function
Command HGSOI initiates the subscription of a new rnobile
subscriber in the HLR.
At subscription, a set of subscriber data is given to the
subscriber by means of a profile.
If no profile is given in the cornrnand, profile O will be
used as default.
The location of the new rnobile subscriber is set to unknown.
This cornrnand also initiates a request for authentication
data frorn an external authentication centre.
An
exchange parameter determines whether the comm.a nd wai ts
for the result of the authentication data request or not.

The fault cedes relating to authentication data only apply
when this parameter is set.
This command can be initiated frorn up to 16 IO devices
s imul taneous 1 y.
The order remains after systern restart.

Function
Command HGSDC changes subscriber data, specifying data
to be changed (SUD), ora set of data previously defined
(PROE'ILE).
Provision of a supplementary service already provided,
will cause the supplementary service to be deactivated
and erased.
Subscription to an already subscribed Basic Service will
not cause any change in the corresponding Supplementary
Services data unless it is got by means of a profile.
When a new Basic Service is subscribed and the corresponding
Basic Service Group has not previously got any basic service
subscribed to, the provision status of the supplementary
services will be inherited.
The activation/registration status will be inherited only
for those supplementary services that are activated as a

This characteristic is only applicable when MAP V1 is used

between HLR and VLR. When a mobile subscriber having Advice of
Charge Charging provided roams into a VLR not characterized as
AOCC, the whole PLMN may be restricted until a new UPDATE
LOCATION message is performed from a VLR supporting Advice
ofCharge.
This characteristic is applicable to both CLIR and COLR

supplementary services. For CLIR it implies the old syntax in which
only the values 'temporary default restricted'
(RestrictionPerCaii=TRUE) and 'permanent'
(RestrictionPerCaii=FALSE) are allowed to convey CLIR
subscription information. For COLR it implies the old handling in
which the COLR related data is sent to VLR in lnsertSubscriberData
message only if the service is provided. When a certain Roaming
Area Characteristic is not supported by the system the
corresponding string will not be recognized by it.
