To use the English language to communicate orally

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:


a) Use the vocabulary related to the household items in different contexts (Camera, washing
machine, vacuum cleaner, freezer, video, mobile phoneetc)
b) Describe household items according to shape, size and color
c) Construct sentences of their own;
Materials: Flashcards, worksheets, power point presentation
Types of interaction: Teacher-whole class, Teacher- Student, Student- Student, Student-Teacher
Class management: whole class, individually, pair, group work

presentation with all the
objects previously
presented. Teacher also
introduces what these
objects are used for.
Teacher invites two
children to come in front
of the classroom and
introduces the next
activity. It is called backwriting with the finger.
Teacher offers a model.
Teacher chooses a word
from the list taught and
back-writes the word on
the back of the student.
Then, the student has to
guess what the teacher
wrote on his/her back.
Students should also
answer in sentences:

some students to mime
what each flashcard
represents. Students are
required to ask and answer
using the model:
