Lesson Summary
Firstly, teacher will introduce his or her favourite things to give hint on what the
pupils will learn for that lesson. Next, the teacher will introduce the different types
of hobbies there is, using drilling, showing pictures with words, pronouncing them
several times and spelling them. While writing activity will be basically matching
or identifying the correct hobbies based on the pictures and making simple
sentences by referring to the substitution table. This session will consist mainly of
worksheet based activities. Next, are the remedial and enrichment activities
implemented in the post reading stage. Finally, teacher will ask the pupils what
they have learnt.

BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Form letters and words in neat legible print including cursive writing.
2. Identify and spell correctly 5 out of 5 hobbies according to the pictures
shown.
3. Write 5 simple sentences about likes and dislikes by referring to the
substitution table correctly.

Introduction to Hobbies!
1. Teacher will show pictures of different types
of hobbies to the pupils.

picture shows.

three times for each word)
5. Students are given Worksheet 1.
6. Teacher starts showing the pictures
randomly and names of each hobby again,
and pupils will copy the words down onto the
worksheet.
