03. Liability for Delayed Delivery:


1-The Company shell not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from delay in
delivery caused by Fires, Flood, Strikes, Riots, Thefts, Accident, Act of God, Act of
Government or any other cost whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Company
which may delay or prevent delivery of the equipment to be furnished hereunder.
2-Delay in schedule payments.

04. Risk of Loss or Damage:


The in transit insurance should be covered by the Buyer; Risk of loss or damage to the
equipment called for and furnished under the terms of this contract shall pass to the
purchaser upon delivery of the equipment or any portion thereof by the company to a
common carrier from our Plant.

05. Terms of Possession:


Until paid for in full, the title to and right of possession of the equipment shall remain
with SELLER.

06. Warranty:
The Warranty of the boiler covers the following
1-Design.
2-Material.
3-Workmanship.
This warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from date of commissioning or 18
months from date of shipment, which ever comes earlier?
During the warranty period, the pieces which are recognized to be defective will be
replaced or repaired free of charge ex purchaser works, while traveling expenses for
personnel and accommodation/boarding and lodging shall be charged to the client (In
case of out of Karachi).

07. Warranty Voids for the Following Reasons:


1-Improper handling of the equipment by the clients operator.
2-Treatment of Feed water and the conditioning of Boiler water are beyond the control of
the company. Therefore, the company shall not be held responsible for damage due to the
presence of oil, grease, scale or deposits on the internal surface of the equipment or for
damage resulting from foaming caused by chemical conditions of the water or for
damage resulting from corrosion or caustic embrittlement.
3-Conditions beyond human control such as Fire, Lightning, Wind Storm, Explosion or
any act of God.
Furthermore, warranty does not cover wearing materials.

08. Cancellation:
Cancellation or suspension by purchaser of accepted proposal can be made only upon
terms that will indemnify the company against loss due to such cancellation or
suspension.

09. Modification:
No modification to this proposal and the conditions thereof shall be binding, unless such
modification is in writing and approved by an officer of the company.

10. After Sales Services:


Solarkaz International believes in sales/service/spare parts 3S.
For special cases outside city, we always request for Response Time of 48 hours to
check availability of first flight for the required area/city of the client to attend
complaints.
However, normally; we provide 1 visit in 3 months to witness the condition of boiler
performance, operators training and other issues related to safe operation of boiler,
maintenance etc. This deal shall remain applicable within guarantee period only.
During visit, feed water samples, boiler chemical dosing and exhaust gases analysis shall
be checked through logbooks and test shall be done, if required.

11. Scope:
The following services and equipment are included in our scope of work/supplies:

13. Quality Control/Assurances.

Boiler engineering calculations and design / drawings shall be checked, verified and
approved by Third party inspector of reputable organizations such as Bureau Veritas,
Lloyds etc.
Third party inspector shall be visiting us during entire course of manufacturing period
and confirm the shell, tube and other material procurement, stamping, cutting and
welding procedures.

Technical Details & Specification.


01. Pressure Body & Shell.
The boiler, with a great volume of water consists of a horizontal cylinder. It is designed to
build in accordance with current regulations aimed at achieving a highly efficient
utilization of heat produced by exhaust gases.
Boilers are generally designed to meet American Standards ASME. Acceptable to Boiler
inspectorate office and Pakistan Standard Institutions etc.
The shell, which has a large diameter and is very thick, is equipped with a manhole,
inspection and cleaning hatches, outlet fittings and connections for auxiliaries and lifting
hooks.
It is cylindrical in shape. It comprises of a double or triple strake with welded seams. Stay
bars and washers are fitted between and welded to the tube plates.

02. Tubes.
Seamless Tubes ASTM-A192 Gr. B or equivalent shall be used as per conformance of
Pakistan Boiler Regulations.
Tubes plates with expanded borders and their inner counter welds eliminate the angular
tension typical of smooth tube structures. The borders act to uniformly absorb the
expansion of the tube nest, functioning as true expansion compensators.
Tubes are fitted between rear and front tube plates of the boiler shell and it is connected
by expansion and welding. The expansion ensures the perfect tube-plate contact for
efficient transfer of heat and welding ensures that the connection holds.

03. Smoke Chamber.


There are two smoke rooms in the boiler, one in front part and the other in rear; that
determine the route of the flue gas and allow access to the two tube plates. Each room is
equipped with easy opened access door.

05. Economizer.
The economizer is mounted directly on the rear smoke box of boiler.
The tubes bundle is fabricated using seamless Fins tubes boxed in a steel casing duly
insulated.
The economizer can increase the feed water temperature by 15 C.

06. Chimney.
Boiler chimney shall be equivalent in diameter of exhaust gases duct/damper size. Height
of chimney as per requirement or maximum upto 3 meter shall be provided. Chimney
material shall be in M.S. A-36 sheet rolled and welded and pained with high temperature
resistant paint.

07. Thermal Insulation.


Special care has been taken with the thermal insulation of the boiler in order to reduce
external heat losses by radiation. A layer of panels made of quilted rock wool shall be
used. The insulation material is protected with metal paneling mounted on spreaders.
At the points of connections, the stub pipes and the gauge inspection hatches, the
paneling have been reinforced with appropriately worked jigs.

08. Ladder & Lifting Lugs.


Platform and ladder are provided as standard equipment for easy access to boiler
mountings. Lifting lugs are welded to the shell for handling.

Feed water tank is equipped with Deaerator head has long been used in all type of steam
boilers, the function of the Deaerator is to remove undissolved oxygen and raise the

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
It is an experimental fact that every 6-deg. C increase in feed water temperature reduces
1% fuel Input to produce steam. We therefore, recommend feed hot water above 95 deg.
C and recover condensate from machines and steam lines for energy conservation point
of view. Also, boiler tubes must be protected from scaling and foaming by introducing
recommended chemicals. Boiler feed water quality should be:

Boiler blow down is recommended at TDS 3500 ppm.

Note:
(a)

TDS value indicated is the maximum permissible; however, based on the blow
down percentage, the allowable TDS should be worked out considering operating
economics.

(c)

Conditioning chemicals need to be added to keep the hardness causing salts in suspension.
