Introduction

This book explain how to use graphic converter of Centum VP to FAST/TOOLS graphic.
The version of FAST/TOOLS is needed R9.04 or later. The version of Centum VP is required 5.01.
Next shows the example of conversion by this converter.

Preparation
2.1 CENTUM VP
To convert CENTUM graphic to FAST/TOOLS graphic, next data file is required.

Mapping file of VP tag to FT item

The File path of CENTUM graphic is below. Those graphic is automatically saved in this file
path when graphic is generated in standard graphic builder.

The format of Mapping file VP tag to FT item is CSV text file. Contents should be same
style as bellow like Centum TAG, data type, and FAST/TOOLS Item.

2.2 FAST/TOOLS
For the preparation of FAST/TOOLS, the items on Mapping file VP tag to FT item should be
generated in FAST/TOOLS. To do this, FAST/TOOLS engineering module is required to use.
Next is display of FAST/TOOLS engineering module.

Conversion command
3.1 Installation conversion program
Copy the next conversion program on the any file directory.

3.2 Execute the conversion command

Execute the conversion command from DOS prompt like bellow on same directory with the
place of conversion programs. Conversion command should be executed one by one with
Centum graphics.

Next is the example.

After executed conversion command, conversion result (.xml file & image file) will be
generated on destination folder. The result folder has 2 folders. One is Displays for xml file.
And other is Icons for image file.
If some error is happened, the log file is generated on same file folder of graphic command
programs. If some error message is shown on DOS display, please refer log file.

3.3 Copy the conversion graphic to FAST/TOOLS

To use result of conversion on the FAST/TOOLS, it is needed to copy graphic file (.xml) and
image file to FAST/TOOLS directory correctly.
Next is the file directory of graphic converter destination and FAST/TOOLS graphics.

Activate on FAST/TOOLS
To activate the conversion graphic on FAST/TOOLS, validation is required on FAST/TOOLS
graphic editor. Next display shows the validation button on FAST/TOOLS graphic editor.
(Tools->Validate)

Validate Button

If linkage error is showed on editor, it is required to modify the graphic manually on the
editor.

Restriction
5.1 Restriction function
On the next table, Future Implementation and Not Possible column shows the restriction
of current conversion tool.

5.2 Link parts

If the graphic have link parts, it is required to removing the group property to all link parts
on Centum graphic builder.
