CLEMENTS STUDENTS TAKE SECOND IN SWEEPSTAKES

AT TEXAS STATE GERMAN CONTEST


Forty-eight students from Clements High School competed at the Texas State German Contest on Saturday, February 28, 2015,
at Texas State University in San Marcos. They earned 48 awards and brought home the second-place sweepstakes award in the
large-school division. In addition, senior Steven Jiang won the $500 Mary El-Beheri Memorial Scholarship. Participants had
qualified for State by placing in the top five in their events at Houstonfest, the regional German contest held in early February.
