TWO AUTOLIFTERS ARRESTED-14 M.V. THEFTS
CASES SOLVED
The staff of police stations Ranhola & Nihal Vihar, West
District has arrested two autolifters namely Ravi @ Kalu and Goldy.
With their arrest 14 cases of Motor Vehicle theft and attempt to murder
have been worked out.
NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS
1.

Ravi @ Kalu S/o Sh. Bharat Singh R/o H. No. 38, A Block, Shiv Vihar
Vikas Nagar New DelhI-Age-20 years. He studied up to 6 th class. He left
the school and fell in bed company and started stealing vehicles and
used to remove the accessories of vehicle and sell it to fulfill his desire.
He is also found involved in case FIR No. 569/05, u/s 302/34 IPC, P.S.
Vikas Puri Delhi.
1. Goldy S/o Sh. Rama Shankar R/o Vega bond Shiv Vihar Delhi.
Permanent address Village Garni Peri, P.S. Chet Ganj, Distt. Varansi, UPage 20 years. He studied up to 5 th class in Govt. School in his native
Village. He left the school and came to Delhi 4 yrs. ago along with his
uncle and fell in bad company and started stealing vehicles. He is
wanted in case FIR No. 372/11 u/s. 307/34 IPC, P.S. Uttam Nagar Delhi.

INCIEDENT, TEAM & OPERATION


To check sudden spurt in MV theft cases in Nangloi Sub Division
and adjoining area of West Delhi and to apprehend the thieves, a
special team of PS Ranhola and PS Nihal Vihar comprising of SI Rajpal,
HC Gajender, HC Gulab, HC Deewan, Const. Satbir, and Const. Virender
headed by Inspr. A. K. Singh/SHO Ranhola and Inspr. Sahdev Kumar
Rana ATO/Nihal Vihar and overall supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar
ACP/Nangloi was constituted. The team members made mammoth
efforts and carried out verification of auto lifters active in West and
South-West Distt. and geared up all of its resources and developed
information. On 16/09/11, during patrolling, a secret information was
received that two persons will pass through Ranhola Nala Road in
stolen Esteem car and these persons are active Auto Lifters. On the
basis of this information, a police team laid a trap at Ranhola Nala
Road. At about 03:20 PM, A Esteem car bearing registration number
DL- 6CF- 2567 came from Ranhola Village, Delhi in which two person
were sitting. On the instance of informer, the above car was stopped.
On seeing Police Party, both the persons tried to increase the speed.
Thereafter, HC Gajender, HC Gulab, HC Deewan, Const Satbir and
Const Virender apprehended both persons. On enquiry from auto
match, the above car was found stolen from the area of PS Dabri
South-West Delhi vide FIR No. 299/11. Hence, both the persons namely
Ravi@ Kalu and Goldy were arrested U/s 41.1 (D) CrPC. During
interrogation, they disclosed that they stole this car No. DL 6CF- 2567
from Janki Puri, Dabari. On the instance of above persons six stolen
vehicles were recovered.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that the accused
were involved in heinous criminal cases and they are friends and both
are school dropouts who fell in bad company. Further investigation is in
progress and efforts are being made to effect more recovery and to
ascertain their involvements in other cases.Staff involved in good work
is being rewarded suitably.

JUVENILE APPREHENDED IN HOUSE THEFT


The staff of police station Hari Nagar has apprehended one juvenile
and solved a case of house theft committed in the area of PS Hari Nagar and
recovered Rs.1,16,300/- from him.
RECOVERY MADE
Cash Rs.116300/-.
INCIDENT
On 1/9/2011 Col. (Retd.) G.K. Sharma R/o EC-83 Maya Enclave Hari
Nagar, New Delhi reported that he alongwith his wife stay at the above
given address. Both of them are senior citizens aged about 75 years of age.
At about 8.30 AM they left the house for medical check up at Tilak Nagar.
At about 9.40 AM when they came back to their house, they found that their
house was set on fire and flames of fire were coming out of the house. They
immediately called Fire brigade and police on the spot. Fire was controlled
by the fire brigade. On checking of the house he found that servant of the
house was missing and he had departed with Cash amounting Rs.2.5 lacs
and a golden chain. While departing he set the house on fire so that no
evidences of theft are left. On his statement a case vide FIR No. 282/11 u/s
381/436/411 IPC PS Hari Nagar was registered and investigation was taken
up.
TEAN AND INVESTIGATION
Since the incident took place in the house of a senior citizen, Sh.
Pankaj Singh, IPS, ACP Tilak Nagar immediately rushed at the spot and
inspected the scene of crime. A team comprising of SI Ugesh Kumar I/C PP
Hari Nagar, ASI Virender and Ct. Sanjay was formed to trace the accused
and recover the goods. Since the house owner had not got the verification of

servant done from police, it was very difficult to trace him as there was no
clue about him. But the police team conducted local inquiry into the area and
came to know that another servant in the same vicinity used to come at the
house of the complainant to meet his servant. Police team interrogated him
who revealed that he was brought in Delhi by a placement agency namely
Sun Solution Regd. whose office was situated at Moti Nagar. The police
team rushed to the office of the placement agency and got the address of
servant from the placement agency. The police team conducted raid at the
native place of the servant at Distt. Gumla (Jharkhand) and apprehended
him. On investigation he was found to be of minor age. The juvenile was
produced before the Juvenile Justice Board who sent him to Juvenile home.
Staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.
