ROLES / ACHIEVEMENTS
University of Bradford Sub-Aqua Club Media Officer
Acted as director of marketing. Personally created adverts (please refer to portfolio) and
booklets as well as devised strategies for the development and promotion of the club, e.g.
utilising University advertising space and more actively engaging with social media/charity
work for national promotion.
Britain Yearly Meeting Talk
This task was undertaken as a part of my personal development, in an effort to enhance my
ability to deliver public talks. Volunteered to represent all young Quakers at the Britain Yearly
Meeting, speaking on social and economic injustice to over 1,000 people. Wrote and produced
the speech, spoke with energy and confidence.

Thorough preparation to ensure well-informed, intelligent commentary.
Broadcast to over 40,000 concurrent viewers, over 5 million total viewers.
Paid to commentate in Norway for a tournament, flown over and given VIP status.

Took the risk of investing in high-end gaming PC to be able to broadcast streams and
generate revenue. Advertised and branded personal stream with no help, was scouted and
contracted within two weeks.
Showed initiative and performed well under pressure in Norway, resulting in being asked to
host as well as commentate upcoming tournament in Europe (prize money $50,000)

Maintained high standards of hygiene and organisation for both sections.
Carried out weekly stock check for both sections.
Starting as a pot washer, I worked hard and showed dedication to the kitchen. I was
promoted to larder chef and then to pizza chef shortly after because of my ability to learn
quickly and cope under pressure.
Worked as chef while studying A-levels, coping with stress and high workload.

Outside of work I'm a keen drummer and musician, formerly a DJ and producer
(https://soundcloud.com/plug-in). On my gap year I enjoyed a year of travelling and realised a
love for exploring other cultures. I thrive on unfamiliar social situations and enjoy meeting new
people. As well as socially, I am very physically active, enjoying weekly badminton and football
on top of regular gym sessions.
