This is a book tells stories of Sherlock Holmes researcher. The book is called "Three Sherlock
Holmes Adventures".
The first story is called "Silver Blaze". Sherlock Holmes has to solve the murder of John Straker
and the disappearance of his horse Silver Blaze.
The story begins telling that Holmes and Watson take train to Devon to go the stables of King
Pyland. Soon a horse race called Wessex and Colonel Ross, horse owner Silver Blaze, he asked
Holmes to visit him to find his horse was the favorite to win the race Wessex. Colonel Ross
thought it was possible that someone might steal it so they do not win the race because many bets
are made and could make money that way.
At first, the story focuses on details of what happened as the three waiters of the house and the
maid. Ned, one of the waiters, and the maid had contact with an unknown man, who later learned
that it was Mr. Fitzroy Simpson, who tried to bribe to get information about the race. The next
morning John Straker went. The wife, Mrs. Straker, woke up at seven in the morning and dont
found her husband. He went to the stables to look along with the maid and Ned found
unconscious and later died Mr. Straker. The body was found with a broken head, a cut on his leg,
a red and black scarf and a bloody knife near his body.
The Inspector Gregory, who was investigating the case of the death of Mr. Straker, thought
everything was related to the unknown man what speak with servants last night. The first suspect
in the disappearance of the horse is Silas Brown, horse trainer Desborough, because he considers
his horse as the second favorite and the disappearance of Silver Blaze would allow him to win the
race.
They went to visit Capleton stable. Not finding the horse returned to the house of Straker and
Holmes asked to see everything that was in the pockets of the dead. They had kept everything in
a box and to revise Holmes found a role in a clothes shop Madame Lesurier to purchase a dress.
Then Holmes visited the site where they found the body of Straker to see if I could find
something and could see some traces of horse and man. Finally a fact that caught the attention of
Holmes was that the servants not hear anything happened because they had a guard dog but the
dog did not bark.

With everything seen Holmes presented his case. First, the servant was simply asleep. Second,
the dog does not bark because they knew the person who took the horse. Third, the dress she
wanted to buy Straker was for her lover because his wife does not like to wear such clothes.
Holmes concluded that Mr. Straker needed money to support his two women and the best way to
achieve this was betting on the race but the way in which they can make more money is betting
that the best horse will not win so he decided go to the stable, the dog knew so do not bark, pull
the horse outdoors, to make no noise, and make a small cut in the leg so he could not run well.
Along the way he found a red and black scarf that would serve to bind the horse when you drive
back to the barn. But the horse shied kicking and horseshoe flew straight to the head of Straker,
he was killed by the force of impact and the short knife down his leg. The horse ran free and a
man took him home. So the murderer is the horse.
The second story is called "Thor Bridge". It begins when Holmes remarks to Watson about a
letter that came from Neil Gibson, an American billionaire, which asks for your help to clarify
the case of the death of his wife. In that case accused Grace Dunbar guilty but Mr. Neil does not
think so and does not support an innocent person, besides being the governess of his children, is
accused of that. They found the wife of Neil within two holometres of the house late at night with
a dress and a bullet in the head in the right ear. Grace accused because in his bedroom found a
gun that matches the type of bullet that killed Mrs. Gibson. Furthermore, they found a note in the
hands of the dead woman in his left hand that sent by the governess to arrange a meeting on the
bridge.
When meeting with Neil Holmes, Holmes asked why does not believe that the governess is the
killer. Neil tells her that he loved her and that she just wanted to be a better man, no matter his
money. Also that his wife was the one who had negative feelings with his wife Grace alone could
hurt Grace. Holmes went to visit Grace to Winchester, to prison, but he was too late stayed at the
house of Mr. Neil. Here he met Sergeant Coventry and asked about the gun. The sergeant told
him that he found in a box of Mr. Neil where two guns fall but never found the other.
Then I visit the place where Sergeant find the body and found a piece of stone that was hit from
below but do not know if it means anything or nothing. There is something that arouses the
interest of Holmes. If the murderer killed the lady on the bridge because he shot the gun into the

river so that there is no evidence. It is rare that hid the gun in the room of the governess because
it would be a place where police seek. So the real murderer hid the gun in Grace's room.
The next day visit to Grace Holmes in prison to ask about what happened. Grace said he received
a letter from Mrs. Dunbar to be found on the bridge and after reading the letter burned, went to
see her on the bridge and Mrs. Dunbar single shout him and eventually Grace ran, to the Next
morning found the gun in his room and finish everything.
Holmes and Watson visited Sergeant Coventry. Holmes asked Watson his gun and Sergeant ten
metres of rope. Holmes tie one end to the gun and the other end to a stone and put the gun and
stone at the ends of the bridge. Throw the rope and the shot gun and fell into the water weight
provoked the stone hit the bottom hard. So Holmes solved the case.
Mrs. Gibson knew the feelings of Neil with Grace so she took a gun to kill Neil Grace, and hid
the other in the room of Grace, to then be charged with murder because the bullet would be from
the same gun. But everything went wrong.
The third story is called "the secretary stockbroker's" and begins when Holmes goes looking for
his partner Watson to accompany you to a new adventure. Take the train to Brirmingham and
Watson knows the companion Holmes, Hall Pycroft. Hall began to tell his story.
He worked for Coxon and Woodhouse but these businesses went bankrupt and was out of work
and little money. He sent a job application to Mawson and Williams and asked him out to work
starting Monday. The strange thing started one night when he visited Arthur Pinner to offer a
better job of Franco-Midland Company, a large company with a better salary, so Hall accepted
the job and Mr. Pinner asks you to write on paper "I'm taking the job of head clerk in the War
Franco-Midland Company at $ 500 per year "and does not communicate anything to the other
company Mawson. When going to work the next day he received a similar but Mr. Pinner heard
and lighter haired man. Upon entering he note that the offices were not what he expected and
gave a rare work to do. He was given a red book with the names of all persons who were related
to the company in Paris and in this book had to put the names and offices of all the people.
Although it seemed strange not say anything because they had paid part of their salary in advance
and needed the money. On Friday handed the job you asked Mr. Pinner. Pinner thanked him and
asked him to now write the names of all stores that sell tables and chairs. As they talked he saw a

gold tooth and recalled that Mrs. Arthur Pinner in London also has a tooth in the same class. Hell
imagined Mr. Pinner no beard and hair of different colour and thought the two were the same
man but was not sure. So hes looking for Sherlock Holmes in London to help you solve the
mystery.
Hall thought the best way knew to Holmes and Watson Pinner was to pose as her friends to give
them work. Holmes and Hall Pinner followed. Pinner went to buy a newspaper and then entered
his office, Hall and Holmes also entered. Pinner and Hall had a meeting and Pinner asks him to
wait and out the door. Then you begin to hear strange noises. Holmes try out but he notice that
the door was closed but found another door, opened it and found hanged, almost dead. Open the
window so you get air. Hall wants to call the police but Holmes stops them for analysis.
First, he asked Hall to write a single paper to have their writing because someone was going to
replace his work in Mawson. Then they opened the newspaper on the table and read a story told
about the robbery at Mawson more than a million pounds for a new employee. The Tuson
sergeant came across this scene and arrested the thief and recognized him as Beddington that
came out five years of jail ago with his brother. Beddington had also killed the chief secretary
Mawson and now police are looking for her brother. So he try to hang.
Watson Hall asks now if you call the police.
