About the Firm

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. (TRC) combines the talents and resources of several
preeminent organizations that have been at the development forefront for some of the nations
most unique structures. TRC is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee and has grown to
seventeen offices with over 300 employees worldwide.
Founded in 1989 as a Structural Engineering Company, TRC initially provided support
services to the Architectural community. Initiating its acquisition strategy, TRC strengthened its
capabilities through the presence of Jenkins & Charland, Inc., a Florida-based structural
engineering firm, and the purchase of H. Wilden & Associates, a Pennsylvania-based firm
providing consulting in the Precast Concrete Industry.
Growth of TRC has also occurred through strengthening its core structural engineering
services and diversification of services into site civil and transportation engineering. Additionally,
the firm has committed to geographic expansion with new offices in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia,
and Texas. In 2007, TRC acquired Kracor in Phoenix, Arizona. Most recently, TRC has broadened
its services through the acquisition of KM2 Design Group, P.C., a full service MEP consultant firm.
The firm has been providing professional engineering services in the fields of HVAC, plumbing,
fire protection, fire alarm, data, voice and video communications since 1985.
TRC uses a Global Delivery Model to effectively deliver projects on time and within budget.
The support service groups in Bangalore and Chennai, India now consists of 165 employees
providing a wide array of services to our structural engineers, steel detailers, and precast
concrete engineering group. By maximizing resources, expanding technical depth and
broadening geographic presence, TRC is capable of providing complete design services for
structures, regardless of size or location.
The resources TRC has assembled feature unparalleled, hands-on experience working on
numerous structures nationwide. On each and every occasion TRC has delivered them on time
and within budget. This is the foundation on which TRC has been built.
We are set up to be a hands-on resource to owners, developers, architects, contractors and
fabricators. We provide design services at a level unequaled by typical consultants working in
the construction industry today. Our track record for developing outstanding structures is
second-to-none. With a management philosophy centered on Service, Innovation and
Quality, as well as the combined experience of the various offices, TRC is a truly unique partner

About the Firm

From college campuses to hospital operating suites, from education to housing, TRC Worldwide
Engineerings MEP services provide the vision and innovation to solve our clients' needs.
We offer a broad range of experience in projects as diverse as health care facilities, high-tech
manufacturing plants, educational facilities, museums and libraries, criminal justice complexes,
research laboratories, residential complexes, office buildings, telecommunication buildings,
retail and food service facilities. Our clients include building owners in both the private and public
sector.
Each project and client is carefully evaluated permitting us to match the right professionals and
resources to each assignment. Whether your needs are design of systems for a new facility,
renovation of an existing facility or study and analysis of your present systems, TRC has the
knowledge, experience and the latest technical tools to meet and exceed your expectations.
Our design philosophy is to create environments that are energy efficient and sustainable
without compromising comfort, indoor air quality and required temperature and humidity
conditions for preservation of contents. Our sustainable and energy efficient designs start from
the inception of the project and continue through construction and final commissioning of all
systems. During the conceptual design phase, alternative systems that meet the project
requirements are considered, analyzed and evaluated. Selection of the system is based on the
criteria that best meets the requirements of the owner and the project objectives. Each system
component is carefully evaluated and selected based on its applicability to the particular
building occupancy, its efficiency, sustainability and its operation and maintenance
requirements. Computer modeling is used extensively for analysis and evaluation of HVAC and
lighting systems.
Building commissioning services offered by TRC ensures that all systems meet the design intent
and operate to their maximum efficiency. After each component in the system is individually
tested, the systems are tested as a whole to ensure coordinated and seamless operation

TRC Advantages: Diversified & Certified

About the Firm

TRC ADVANTAGES: DIVERSIFIED & CERTIFIED

In a global marketplace such as we live in today, the advantage
goes to the company that maintains a diversified workforce
which understands, respects and responds to the needs of the
client in the locale where the project and client reside. TRC
employs a professional staff of men and women of virtually all
races, religions and backgrounds who can deliver your project
on time and within budget in all areas that we serve.
As we all know governmental agencies nationwide are rushing
to get shovel ready projects awarded. Many of these
organizations (and private clients as well) require minority
business participation. To compete for those contracts,
companies must be registered and certified with any of several
different agencies which may be available depending on the
various political jurisdictions.
In order to give our clients that extra edge, TRC has been
certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in the states of
Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. TRC has met
the requirements as defined by the National Minority Supplier
Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC). TRC can quickly gain
certification with other agencies or jurisdictions which the client
may require. The TRC Advantage: Diversified and Certified.
