Advanced Armament Corp. (AAC) and Remington Arms to create a
300BLK-optimized bullet that provides the ideal cartridge length
and an expansion threshold designed around 300BLKs velocities.

BARNES 300 AAC BLACKOUT-OPTIMIZED bullets

intermediate-barrier performance from even the shortestbarreled carbines and PDWs. The new over-sized plastic
tips add to our existing bullet technology to keep the
weight down and the velocity up, for a flatter trajectory
and optimal penetration even at extended ranges.
The 300 AAC Blackout is a reliable 30-caliber solution for
the AR-15 platform that uses existing-inventory 5.56mm
magazines for a full 30 round capacity. The highly-efficient
cartridge can change between standard full power
ammunition and quiet-when-suppressed subsonic loads
without any adjustments needed to the firearm. It has as
much energy from a 16-inch barrel as 5.56mm does from a
24-inch barrel, all while having less flash, blast, and noise.
Being 30 caliber, 300 BLK is less effected by obstacles,
such as automobile glass, than 5.56mm. The gain in frontal
area from 5.56mm to 30 cal is 89.1% - even more of a
boost than the 60.7% size advantage that 45 Auto has
over 9mm.
300 AAC Blackout is a SAAMI-standard cartridge that is
supported by over 150 companies.

M/LE ammunition is assembled using the finest components and
then each and every round is hand inspected and gauged for
quality and consistency.
BARNES 338 LAPUA M/LE AMMUNITION is made using the
finest components available, including a .338 caliber 300gr.
lead core, high BC OTM bullet. In fact, after extensive testing,
the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM)
awarded the Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) contract to use this
bullet. Barnes will provide more than 4.6 million rounds of
precision-loaded ammunition as part of the contract.
Each and every Barnes 338 Lapua round is hand inspected and
gauged for quality and consistency.
