MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 093-2014

EXTENDING A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE BEREAVED
FAMILY OF THE LATE MR. ENICANCIO ORPIADA OF MALIPO, GUINOBATAN, ALBAY,
CHARGEABLE AGAINST APPROPRIATE FUNDS OF THE LGU FOR THE PURPOSE.

WHEREAS,

this august body has received the regretful news that the father of Honorable
Maria Sofia O. Orpiada, our beloved Municipal Councilor, passed away last July
31, 2014;

WHEREAS,

Honorable Councilor Orpiada has been and is continuously rendering efficient and
competent services for the benefit of this local government and the general
populace of the municipality. This august body appreciates this and recognizes the
difficulty that she and her family are undergoing right now due to the passing away
of her loving father, Mr. Enicancio Orpiada;

WHEREAS,

it is only fitting for the LGU to extend its support, morally and financially, to them to
somehow alleviate their needs in this difficult time;

WHEREAS,

it is not the amount that counts but it is how we show our care and concern to her
whom we consider as human asset of our institution being an effective and loyal
partner of the LGU for its development;

WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:

RESOLVED,

as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay in

session assembled, to extend as it hereby extends a considerable amount of
financial/burial assistance to the bereaved family of the late Mr. Enicancio Orpiada
of Malipo, Guinobatan, Albay, chargeable against appropriate funds of the LGU for
the purpose.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that an amount of Fifty-Five Thousand Pesos (Php55,000.00) shall be

extended to the bereaved family, chargeable against the appropriation for donation
of the Honorable Mayor, Vice-Mayor and the Municipal Councilors in the amount of
Five Thousand Pesos (PhP5,000.00) each, subject to availability of funds, and the
usual accounting and auditing rules and procedures.
RESOLVED LASTLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the bereaved family of the late Mr.
Enicancio Orpiada, and such other concerned offices or agencies, for their
information and appropriate action.
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY, on motion of Honorable Councilor Robert M. Baaga and duly
seconded by the members present this 4 th day of August, 2014 during their 28 th
Regular Session.
