Okay we start from the first Site, http://www.eslcafe.com/ in this
site thats Dave's ESL Cafe is a kind of privately owned job
search engine for English as a Second Language (ESL) jobs
around the world. Hosted in California by Dave Sperling, it was
one of the first job boards for overseas English teaching jobs to
be created. Revenue is derived from advertising from small and
medium-sized private language schools, mostly in Asia.
While, local employment offices for positions in one's home
country are subject to adhering to local labor laws and other
laws, overseas jobs posted on Dave's ESL Cafe are not.
Therefore, quite often fraudulent businesses advertise teaching
positions which do not comply with labor laws even in the host
country.
For example, by law, it is mandatory in Japan that an employee
be enrolled into the Japanese government's health care and
pension plan (shakai hoken); however, since it is an overseas
job, this Internet job board has no fear of being sued for
advertising a job that violates Japanese law. Therefore,
advertisers can misrepresent job conditions such as pay,
holidays, health insurance etc....
Although this Internet job board does provide a forum to
discuss jobs, advertisers may demand that posts that are
critical be censored or completely deleted. Moderators of the
forums are not required to have any experience or training in
labor issues and are often completely unaware of labor law
standards. Many contributors are language school managers
themselves who deliberately post anti-labor messages, false
information or simply promotional messages in the guise of
advice.
Similar Internet job boards exist for ESL jobs which have similar
censorious behavior such as GaijinPot, the tesljb-l listserv and

the China Yahoo Group Job List.

TESOL Inc. and its affiliates promote the use of these
unregulated job boards. The US Information Agency used to
fund the tesljb-l listserv.
Dave's ESL Cafe is a professional site with many job
advertisements which means that certain things aren't allowed,
such as job discussion. Some people consider the moderator
policies to be heavy-handed and have fled to other places, or
have been banned, including former moderators. Many former
users now frequent David's ELT World Forums.
In conclusion, for Educational World Dave's ESL Cafe is a kind of
a synchronous site which include lot of Informations and
meeting space for EFL & ESL, Teacher and Students around the
world, we may make simple synchronous forum there, or make
a simply asynchronous such as chat with another teacher and
student around the world. In the Left-side panel of this site
theres panel where easy to access and you can find there are
Five Categories: JOBS, STUFF FOR TEACHER, STUFF FOR
STUDENTS, & STUFF FOR EVERYONE, so far towards on those
Main Categories of the List there are sub-categories below. I
Couldnt specified all of them one by one because it will take
too long explanation. (Tips : Just start to open the Site, If you
have trouble or Question Please Reply this Post Ill Give several
Feedback)
Jump to the Second Website : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/,
Simple Explanation from me, this site is a software provider
specifically for its single product that Called Audacity, and its
free for everyone. Audacity is a sound editing software which
allows you to record, cut, echoing, filtering, fading, combine, or
mixing and hundred features available there, for someone who
always makes a documentation videos, or sound theme,
Audacity is a proper choice. Audacity is commonly knows as
sound editing software for Movie maker. It seems similar with
QuickAudio but Audacity has specific features and tools
inside. Just try to Download this software, the size of this

software is 21.15MB and if you want to learn the tutorial how to

use this software just visit this
site:http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Category:Tutorial.
Okay, Last site: http://www.youtube.com/ who didnt knows
about this site? This is one sample of synchronous videosharing website. Youtube created by three former PayPal
employees in February 2005 and owned by Google since late
2006, on which users can upload, view and share videos.
The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe
Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of
user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips,
and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video
blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.
Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by
individuals, although media corporations including CBS, the
BBC, Vevo, Hulu, and other organizations offer some of their
material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership
program Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered
users can upload an unlimited number of videos.
YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed
Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal Hurley had
studied design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, while
Chen and Karim studied computer science together at the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
======================================
========
Based on these sites:
www.eslcafe.com/students
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
www.youtube.com.
Our group conclude that while making an asynchronous or
synchronous english teaching media, we suggested to use
three of the sites given, because Its easy to access and simple
for newbie. Those sites above could improve our teaching skills
and develop our creativity to share ideas. But the weakness of
those sites, we couldnt make a teleconference class like skype,

and Its dominantly synchronous.

Okay I think that's all for our P.O.V of those sites, pardon us for
the mistakes or missing explanation item that we made in
analyzing these sites, Just give Question and my teammates
will give feedback

Ina Spirit I am Rostina from the fifth group. Firstly, I would like to say thanks
for the third group who has given a great explanation, there is not missing
explanation so far I think. Those links that your group have explained are
useful links for us. We can share about job information for teacher and do
meeting with the others viawww.eslcafe.com/students. Youtube is one of the
most interesting sites for many people today I think. So, it can be denied that
many teachers use this site as a source material in teaching English like
listening and speaking.
