www.electronictutorials.com and has a broad knowledge of electronic and electrical
engineering and has worked for many years in electronics related industries from which
has gained him a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Control. This ensures that
information conveyed on the website is accurate.
Accuracy: Based on Wayne Storrs qualifications of being an electrical engineer, the
information in this website can be deemed accurate as backed up by my father who is also
very qualified in the field of electronics and sound (explained in source #9.)

Hawes), we can conclude that the information conveyed on the website is accurate. Also,
images are shown as evidence to support the text.
Reliability: As mentioned with the accuracy, the author and editor (James Hawes) has
several qualifications in terms of being experienced in designing circuits, the information
conveyed in this website can be considered reliable as well.
Relevance: To display that I have successfully achieved my goal, I will need to build a
successfully functional fuzz box. This means that I will require information such as what
parts and components are required and how to make these parts work as a complete unit to

how to build a fuzz box is written by Rob Cruickshank and Adam Coish provides the
photographic evidences/ visuals.
Accuracy: As checked with Source #2, the information conveyed in terms of how to build a
fuzz box matches though the components used are slightly different. Also, the explanation of
how a fuzz box works is practically the same; therefore, the information conveyed on this
website can be considered accurate.
Relevance: To display that I have successfully achieved my goal, I will need to build a

Credibility: Mr. Lek Wanchai is a guitar teacher that has been teaching electric guitar for the
past 10 years. This interview will be related to realizing the differences from a scientific and
overall sound point of view of different types of distortions (overdrive, fuzz, drive).
Accuracy: Since Mr. Lek Wanchai has taught his students electric guitar for the past 10
years, he clearly has experience when it comes to playing and setting up the electric guitar
and the amplifier; therefore, the information provided by him is accurate.
Reliability: Based on his previous experiences being a guitar teacher, the information
provided to me will be reliable as well.
Relevance: From the interview, I will be able to answer the research question about the
differences between the different types of distortion and what amplifier setting the electric
guitar amplifier should be on to project pure fuzz.

occasions and has created several amplifiers and subwoofers in is lifetime.
Accuracy: Since Mr. Madho Sethi is extremely experienced when it comes to sound
technology, the information provided by him will be accurate and beneficial towards the
success of my final product.
Reliability: Based on his expert knowledge of sound technology, the information provided
by him will also be reliable.
Relevance: By interviewing Mr. Madho Sethi, I will be able to gather information about the
technical aspect of how sound waves are manipulated to create fuzz and where to buy each
component in Bangkok (as he frequently purchases these components).

Accuracy: Considering the fact that Dave Hunter has been playing rock music for
approximately 20 years, the information he provides about different distortion effects and
the differences of the overall sound of each distortion effect will be accurate, as he has used
them extremely frequently.
Reliability: As mentioned before, since Dave Hunter has been playing rock music for 20
years, the information provided by him is also reliable.
Relevance: This website will allow me to clearly find out the difference of the different
distortion effects from a sound perspective. Also, this magazine may introduce some
terminology that I might need to explain how the fuzz box I will create works.
Date: This magazine article was written on the 14th of February 2014 so all the information
conveyed is up to date and relevant to my topic.
Sources: This magazine article is written solely based on the experiences of Dave Hunter
and his ability to play the electric guitar.

Relevance: From this video, I will be able to gain knowledge on what sound I am looking for
from my fuzz box and since I am modifying an NPE kit for an overdrive box to become a fuzz
box, I will to know the exact sound different in order to be successful.

Relevance: This article will allow me to determine how should my fuzz box function as well
as look in terms of the aesthetics.

Scope and Purpose: The purpose of this magazine article is to educate guitarists on how to
buy a fuzz box that suits their playing style. It is to the point with loads of relevant
information.

Accuracy and Reliability: Considering the fact that whenever the person in the video was
trying to explain something, he backed this up with physical evidence, thus making the
information conveyed accurate and reliable.
Relevance: While actually creating my fuzz box, one of the main methods of joining the
components to the circuit board is by soldering. I will need to know how to solder and also
unsolder (incase I accidently soldered a component) to ensure that my fuzz box is
functional.

demonstrating how to solder.
Scope and Purpose: The purpose of this video is to educate young engineers on how to
solder. It is very clear, simple, to the point and easy to follow along.
