Ahmose nobleman who drove Hyksos out of Egypt and ruled New Kingdom
Amenhotep IV/Akhenaton. Egyptian Pharaoh who singled out Aton as the only God worthy of
worship first attempt at monotheism. Took power from priests who worshipped several gods.

Nebuchadnezzar II deported Hebrews from Judah, held them captive in Babylon as slaves, e.g.
