VITAA SALUTES THE LIVING LEGEND

Dr. G.Viswanathan, Chancellor for receiving the honorary doctorate from

West Virginia University, USA (May 2009)
2
FROM CHANCELLOR’S DESK
Dear Alumni Members,
There is no better way to start the New Year than by reflecting on what has taken place over the last year and
that is by setting up new goals for the upcoming year. It is heartening to note that our Silver Jubilee year has
indeed been a year of success with the series of International Conferences and the grand success of our
maiden graVITas‘09 - an International knowledge carnival as well as the annual Riviera ‘09- an International
cultural and sports fest to name just a few. The crowning glory can be said to be the prestigious ABET
Accreditation that is yet another feather to our cap. Now, we must strive towards becoming on par with the
top universities of the world. Our goal should be from VIT to IIT to MIT.

Dr.G.Viswanathan I appreciate the strong ties that you have maintained with your Alma Mater and cherish the bond between
Chancellor you and VIT University. You are our brand ambassadors and you always extended your valuable support
to the university which we treasure immensely.
I wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year.
PRO - CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE
Dear Friends,

This Silver Jubilee year was memorable in many ways with all the international conferences and the
resounding success of our first graVITas -‘09. The Silver Jubilee celebrations gave us an added impetus
to bond with each and every VITian. Looking back at these 25 years fills me with a sense of awe and
nostalgia as well. You, as alumni, with your strong bonding have played a valuable role in this success of
VIT University. I look forward to our annual get-together of VITAA. The rapport we have built is indeed
heartwarming and ever-lasting and to put it in simple words,
Once a VITian ........ Always a VITian
Mr. Sekar Viswanathan See you soon at VIT...
Pro-Chancellor

PRO - CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Alumni,

The Silver Jubilee year marks yet another milestone in the success story of VIT. But characteristically we,
at VIT, never rest on our laurels, but set our bench marks higher and higher. It was Roosevelt who said that
“Dreams are dime a dozen........ it is their execution that counts”. At VIT we not only dream but also strive
hard to make our dreams come true.

I wish all your dreams come true in this NEW YEAR 2010.

Mr. G.V. Selvam

Pro-Chancellor
