IntuitionNonlinearThinkingtoKnowReality

___________________________________________________________________________
Real intuition happens only when Causal body is sufficiently developed otherwise people
mistook a random thought for Intuition. Real intuition does what the intellect alone cannot.
It senses truths that do not follow directly from the old assumptions, old logic, or old
programming. Truths accessed by intuition are therefore transcendental. Intuition can point
you to flaws in prior assumptions, help you notice new observations that were otherwise
missed, and present new possibilities to contemplate. Real intuition comes from beyond.
Whatever determines your current realm, your current body of assumptions, intuition extends
far beyond it.
If you are a product of the past, intuition is a feedback flow from the future. If you are the
lower self, intuition comes from the higher self. If you are operating from the five senses,
intuition comes through the sixth. Intuition is your internal compass magnetized to absolute
truth, that if followed takes you through ever greater levels of knowing and thus through
ever more advanced realms of existence. It is the voice of your spirit, and it only speaks as
clearly as you have ears to hear and the mind to understand.

Fi rst N am e:

There seems to be different ty pes of intuition, or at least 3 different

mechanisms regarding how it works. Heres the 3 that Im aware of:

Last N am e:

Em ai l :

1) Spotting Visual and Auditory Cues

On a really obv ious lev el, most people would agree that we tend to be more intuitiv e when we are
in a good mood. Psy chology professor, Barbara Fredricksons Broaden and Build theory
suggests that positiv e emotion increases creativ ity and that it also makes us more alert to
opportunities that present themselv es.

In this creativ e, alert state we pick up more of the v isual cues around us. If y ou hav e a goal, and
y ou are creativ ely alert in this way , y ou are more likely to spot signs and pick up snippets of
conv ersations that can help y ou in the pursuit of y our goal.
2) Mirror Neurons
The second route of intuition is present when we are in someones company . The human brain is
highly adept at reading emotions. Its also highly adept at telling when someone isnt being

truthful. This is facilitated by an interconnected network of cells in the brain known as mirror
neurons.
When a person shows emotion it is written all ov er their face, as they say . Happiness can be
recognised as smiling, anger or sadness with a frown. These display s of emotion mov e particular
muscles. Happiness flex es the zygomaticus major muscle (it pulls y our lips into a smile) and the
orbicularis oculi muscle (at the sides of the ey es), while anger flex es the corrugator supercilli
(between y our ey ebrows). This is where mirror neurons come in.
The MNS (mirror neuron sy stem) mirrors the muscle mov ements we see in others. Being with a
happy person is a sure fire way to get stimulation of y our happy muscles. So how does this relate
to intuition? Well, if a person is pretending they are happy but actually they re sad inside, y our
mirror neuron sy stem will mirror not only their (pretend) smiles but also the subtle facial muscle
mov ements that reflect how they really feel.
When a person say s an untruth, flashes of emotion appear on their face but they might only last
for a few milliseconds, too fast for the human ey e to detect. But not too fast for y our MNS though!
It mirrors the ex pression and feeds back into the emotional circuits in y our brain, causing y ou to

gain a subtle (intuitiv e) feeling of how they are feeling. When y ou sense someone is sad, ev en
though they are acting happy , y ou might be getting an accurate picture of how they really feel.

Some people are v ery sensitiv e in this way and others are less so, which isnt surprising as we all
hav e innate differences in skills.

Lie detector tests work on the same premise. When a person say s an untruth their nerv ous
sy stem shows subtle lev els of stress. This can be detected using dev ices that measure skin
conductance, which changes with micro amounts of sweating.

A little light-hearted winter fun.

3) Entangled Minds
The third route of intuition is the one that might inv ite a little scepticism from people but Id
suggest that it is a v ery real mechanism, perhaps predominantly masked by the other two.
A body of scientific ev idence suggests that we are connected through some lev els of our minds.
One of my fav ourite pieces was where researchers at Basty r Univ ersity in Seattle worked with
emotionally bonded couples couples who shared a strong emotional bond.
One was placed inside an MRI scanner while the other was in a separate room. When the one in
the room was startled with a v isual stimulus, the MRI picked up a flash in the v isual cortex of the
partner in the scanner. Similar ex periments with EEG hav e suggested that the
interconnectedness is stronger between people who share a strong emotional bond, which

correlates with a lot of peoples personal ex perience. Many people feel connected to lov ed ones
no matter how far apart they are, and would agree that they get a sense when something in
wrong.

FOLLOW M Y TW E E TS

This kind of thing is ev en apparent with some animals. In his compelling book, Dogs that Know
When Their Ow ners Are Coming Home, Rupert Sheldrake describes ex periments where he had
sent a tex t to a dog owner and asked her or him to now make a decision to leav e the office and
head home. At the instant they made their decision, a v ideo camera set up in the home showed
their dog becoming ex cited and mov ing to the window.
This kind of ev idence suggests that there is some form of communication that takes place from
mind-to-mind. As well as emotional connection being a factor, its likely that the effect is more
pronounced under some conditions than others and also that some people are naturally more in
tune, so to speak, than others.
Intuition, regardless of what path, is likely wired in us. It would hav e undoubtedly serv ed an
ev olutionary adv antage to our ancestors if they had a hunch that danger was near. Acting on that
hunch would sav e their liv es and thus increase the likelihood that they would pass their genes
onto the nex t generation. In this way , nature would select genes that are linked with intuition.
So may be the lesson in this is that it might be a good idea to trust our hunches, but may be only if
were in a good mood. And of course, we also need to be a little discerning. I guess its all about
balance.
