ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management

The ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management is a 120 credit size qualification and is the
equivalent level to the 2nd year of a degree. The content of this qualification is a focus on managing
communication, business organisations in a global context, people management, finance for managers
as well as an understanding of the research skills and personal development expected of a manager.
Learners must complete 5 mandatory units worth 80 credits in total and a further 3 or 4 optional units
totalling 120 credits to achieve the ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management (QCF).

These qualifications are designed for learners from aged 19 and above. However, ATHE does not specify any
entry requirements. Centres are required to ensure that learners who register for these qualifications have the
necessary skills to undertake the learning and assessment.
ATHE Entry Requirements
Minimum of A Level or Intermediate qualification from School / College or a Level 4 diploma in
management
An equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution.

Mature students with a minimum of two years relevant work experience may be considered.
A minimum of intermediate level English language proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 4.5)

Assessment

The course is via the assignments, which are released by the Centre to the learners on enrolment.

225* registration fees for the awarding body
