product and ancillary products?

Synergy

The combination of all three products is shown through the strong link of the
graphics and colours within the music video and ancillary products. The logo of
the Tardis and the production name of, “time lord productions” are in dark
shades of blue. The use of colours of the “Doctor who” theme; consists of mainly
dark shades of: blue, green and purple. The effectiveness of colours represents
a strong link in all three products representing the, “Doctor Who” theme.
Therefore the effectiveness of synergy in all three products is shown through the
production logo of the Tardis and the use of different shades of blue. The disk
shapes in background images of the DVD cover and magazine advertisement
represent the “time” which is a big theme within the lyrics. Through the
effectiveness of graphics and colours, the representation of the, “Doctor Who” in
all three products highlights the synergy.

Branding

The branding of the artist is further emphasised through the, “Doctor Who”
theme as it gives them general recognition of the band. The effectiveness of the,
“Doctor Who” theme is shown through the animation. The boy and the doll
appear in all three products highlighting the theme of surrealism.
The white t-shirt and blue baggy jeans the boy wears represent the band
members of, “Chameleon Circuit”. The portrayal of the surreal aspect is shown
as the words: “Exterminate, Regenerate” are printed on the t-shirts. The
representation of, “Chameleon Circuit” and “Doctor Who” through the doll and
the boy are present in all three products. The branding therefore is shown
through the effectiveness of the doll representing the boy as the band
representing the “Doctor Who”, theme. The card board instruments represent
the genre of, “Trock” which represents the band. The branding if the band is
developed through the presence of animation in all three products.

Theme of, “Doctor Who”.

The common use of colours within, “Doctor Who”, represent the themes of
surrealism and realism. This is portrayed through the greenery which represents
the reality and the blue which represents the dream. The boy represents the
reality to show the realism while the doll represents the surrealism. This is
shown through similar actions of the boy and the doll; which emphasises the
resemblance in all three products. The performance element emphasises the,
“Doctor Who” theme through the band scene when there are a multiple of
David’s. The doll represents the dream which represent the whole theme of
surrealism verses realism. Furthermore, the cross cut of the boy’s actions and
the, “Doctor Who” doll is seen in all three products which effectively represents
the, “Doctor Who”, theme.
This highlights the realism and surrealism of the boy and doll in all three
products. The duck represents the surrealism and realism which shows the
effectiveness of the, “Doctor Who” theme in all three products. The animation
and the capture of real life are shown in all three products highlighting the
Doctor Who theme through the band.
