(13:55:33) Gary: awesome. Want to talk to Laduguer?

(13:55:46) Paul: have to do it by text, but sure

(13:55:56) Gary: that would be fine.
(13:56:53) Gary: first off, does the winter solstice start at midnight, noon or morning? Just wondering
who is going through the portal first.
(13:58:05) Paul: uhm...'solstice' itself is an astronomical event, and can happen at any time during the
day
(13:58:31) Paul: you call it as you see it, because it happens at different times every year
(13:59:09) Gary: hmm. Okay, in that case, it starts at midnight.
(13:59:27) Paul: excellent- a very auspicious year
(14:00:44) Gary: so, you all have fought whatever was up top. You are in these ruins. You have searched
it, found some treasure and a ratty book that looks like a schedule of some sort.
(14:01:03) Gary: this is the evening before the solstice.
(14:03:27) Gary: the runes: pearl-like marble floor and walls. It is underground, but wasn't originally.
The stairs in the southern end have a door at the top, but the door is stuck b/c of the weight of earth on
the other side.
(14:03:59) Gary: the stairs in the north are smaller, 5-8 ft wide and lead down into a basement.
(14:04:27) Gary: basement setup like the portal room at the floating tower, only the portals have seals
over them here.
(14:04:43) Gary: cables run from the portals into the walls
(14:05:17) Gary: (Ill have to transpose this to word, I haven't written out this stuff yet).
(14:05:46) Paul: I am logging the whole chat to my hard drive, so I will have a copy too.
(14:06:41) Gary: the portals you see in the pic (sorry I can't draw, btw) are huge. 30 ft. diameter as
opposed to the 5 ft. in diameter of the ones downstairs.
(14:07:13) Paul: still trying to open the file- bear with me
(14:07:19) Gary: the six on the east/west wall all have seals upon them.
(14:07:25) Gary: okay, I will pause.
(14:08:26) Paul: okay- I have the map open

(14:08:34) Paul: where do I come in on it?

(14:09:49) Gary: 60 ft. above the half-circle table is a dome-like multi-colored window. You all somehow
made it down from there.
(14:11:02) Gary: Ptahmot or Alden found the book in a secret compartment in the table.
(14:11:19) Gary: Also with you are a bard and a druid who helped you in the fight.
(14:11:31) Paul: okay
(14:11:36) Gary: also, some other people who I want to remain a surprise for Friday night.
(14:11:45) Paul: I take it we took the time to heal up after the fight
(14:11:53) Gary: indeed.
(14:14:02) Gary: the black line behind the table is a black board (not blackboard) on two legs. The board
is shiny on one side and dull on the other, but otherwise non-descript.
(14:15:02) Gary: the northern portal has its seal broken and on the ground in front of it. A crack in the
ground through the portal is the probable reason for the brokenness.
(14:15:22) Gary: every hour on the hour, the lights in the portal change color.
(14:15:44) Gary: from neon green, to blood red, to a hazy yellow, to a brilliant white.
(14:15:46) Gary: that
(14:15:55) Gary: that's all you've seen so far.
(14:16:02) Gary: Treyla takes first watch.
(14:16:15) Gary: unless you have questions.
(14:16:17) Paul: okay-can I read any of the runes?
(14:16:46) Gary: on the portal covers?
(14:16:53) Paul: yes, or anywhere
(14:17:09) Gary: yes.
(14:18:21) Gary: okay, above the big stairs are the words Central Portal Station. Beside the smaller
stairs is a plaque which states: CPS Personnel only
(14:19:00) Paul: Really?

(14:19:23) Gary: also in runes: globes line all sides of every wall. Every ten feet or so. The portals are
about five feet from wall (in spite of what the pic looks like).
(14:21:03) Paul: globes? Like map of the world globes?
(14:21:43) Gary: The runes on the seals over portals are similar to the runes around where the arcane
ooze was kept.
(14:22:16) Gary: globes: lightly frosted glass on metal, curved sticks
(14:23:33) Gary: those runes were in several different languages, and contained prayers to the nine
gods for protection.
(14:23:42) Gary: and safekeeping
(14:23:51) Paul: Our familiar nine?
(14:24:00) Gary: Pafnati's prayer is in the middle, so yes.
(14:24:05) Paul: ok
(14:24:48) Gary: I haven't decided what the statues at the head of the entrance stairs are.
(14:25:04) Gary: I think there should also be columns of marble holding this bad boy up too.
(14:25:33) Paul: well...I am sure that Ptahmot is going to be in here poking and prodding too, so to
facilitate the solitary nature of this encounter, Raganaht is in a snit over something, and is ignoring
everyone else, except in a tactical where are they kind of way.
(14:26:10) Paul: hmm...for now. I will imagine the male and female holding the sun statues form
Krypton
(14:26:18) Gary: we can also pretty much begin at midnight.
(14:26:20) Paul: in the John Byrne redo of superman
(14:26:20) Gary: awesome
(14:26:42) Gary: 500 xp for a pic of those by Friday
(14:26:58) Paul: I can prolly have it by the time we're done today
(14:27:03) Paul: eh
(14:27:07) Paul: anyway
(14:27:08) Gary: of course you can

(14:27:35) Gary: okay, so hopefully people will go to sleep. Treyla is on guard duty at midnight when
you are awoken.
(14:27:51) Paul: can we determine that Raganaht slept the rest of the day of the battle away, and has
all his spells, and is in here while Ptahmot is sleeping?
(14:28:00) Paul: that covers that
(14:28:32) Paul: if we were looking in here earlier, I would have tried to go down to the employees only
stairs
(14:28:49) Gary: is cool. Unless you are going to attack a god, you won't need your spells, but is okay.
(14:29:28) Paul: I'm stupid and stubborn, but not insane
(14:29:31) Gary: the employees only stairs is the basement. Six portals a la other ruins, sealed up.
Cords of some kind running from each.
(14:29:39) Paul: oh duh
(14:29:39) Gary: there is also a kitten
(14:29:52) Paul: and I would have at least detected magic on the black board
(14:30:02) Paul: a kitten?
(14:30:11) Paul: in the basement?
(14:30:21) Gary: he he. Only b/c you looked twice, but Im keeping the cat.
(14:30:31) Gary: yes. Either that or a monkey.
(14:30:43) Gary: how did the kitten get there?
(14:30:45) Gary: he he
(14:30:49) Paul: HAHAHAHA
(14:31:11) Paul: Raggy looks at the kitten and says, "Someone has sent me a midnight snack"
(14:31:19) Paul: he is joking, of course
(14:31:26) Paul: he has no Asian spices with him.
(14:31:39) Gary: anyway, blackboard: blank with detect magic; the portal almost blinds you however.
and lol
(14:32:22) Paul: okay- the board intrigues him. was it once a sign of some sort?

(14:32:22) Gary: I might change the aura of the blackboard, so ask me again on Friday

(14:32:28) Paul: okay

(14:32:54) Gary: good assumption, but how could it be a sign with nothing printed on it?
(14:33:05) Paul: either way- back to know...who or what awoke me?
(14:33:17) Gary: he he, laughs the maniacal dm
(14:33:19) Paul: back to now, I mean
(14:33:30) Paul: freakin LCD screens
(14:33:45) Paul: or OLED
(14:33:48) Paul: or whatever
(14:34:07) Paul: so...what woke Raggy?
(14:34:13) Gary: okay, so. as soon as you awake, the room goes darker than it has since you have been
in here. the brilliant white light of the northern portal turning into a pitch blackness
(14:34:18) Paul: He expected to sleep through the night...
(14:34:44) Paul: invisible
(14:34:47) Gary: you feel like this is your time. a mental tugging similar to the one in the dream a few
months ago.
(14:34:54) Gary: it wants you to go towards the darkness.
(14:35:01) Paul: okay- so not invisible
(14:36:07) Gary: what do you do?
(14:36:45) Paul: stubbornly resist and hold back a moment
(14:36:59) Paul: because I AM after all, Raganaht
(14:37:15) Paul: can I detect evil??
(14:37:18) Gary: the summons was brief and does not come back even after 5 minutes of waiting.
(14:37:28) Paul: from the portal?
(14:38:33) Gary: unsure. it felt to come from within you, but only once the portal turned black

(14:38:53) Gary: do you want to wait longer than 5?

(14:39:08) Paul: no...this is why Raganaht came after all.
(14:39:11) Gary: sorry. evil. didn't see that.
(14:39:24) Paul: I am trying to remember the dream
(14:39:27) Gary: uhm, detect evil negatory
(14:40:05) Paul: basically trying to remember what Raggy knows, vs. what *I* know
(14:40:11) Gary: a Duergar person on a throne asked you to come. he had information that could free
your people and answer some question.
(14:40:18) Paul: k
(14:40:48) Gary: he seemed to glow with power.
(14:41:45) Gary: he told you his name: Laduguer, which is why you got the book from the library, but
did not name himself your god
(14:42:07) Paul: okay- cast endure elements on myself, and step through
(14:42:45) Paul: deep breath...also Owl's wisdom
(14:44:19) Gary: you enter a cave in the Underdark, quite reminiscent of home. as you come around the
foyer of this pretty large room. you see a Duergar male (the one from your dream) sitting on a throne in
the back of the room. the throne is Adamantine, with mithrael, gold and platinum accents. at the end of
the arms of the throne are two illithid skulls.
(14:44:56) Paul: I like him already
(14:45:28) Gary: "Raganaht Hazard, thank you for meeting me. My name is Laduguer, the true god of
the Duergar." he says
(14:46:11) Gary: "I have been watching your tribe for the last few years and have decided to act in your
best interests. I have sadly watched as you worship human gods, and I wish to free you from the lies of
Mekhi and Dikazi."
(14:46:29) Gary: (btw, this is all the script I have, so we fly by seat of pants from here on out)
(14:46:35) Gary: he pauses.
(14:46:40) Paul: (rock on)
(14:47:40) Gary: "we have 45 minutes to conclude our business before the portal behind you closes and
you cannot return."

(14:48:01) Gary: "So, before we begin, ask your questions."

(14:49:38) Paul: Raganaht thinks about that, considering his plane shift spell is prepared "I cannot speak
for the priests of Dikazi, but Mekhi has not betrayed my trust. What lies do you speak of, 'true god of the
Duergar'"?
(14:50:22) Paul: what's in quotes he actually says
(14:51:07) Paul: (It's been too long, Gary. I don't HAVE any questions for him beyond the immediate)
(14:52:05) Gary: "built into the religion you practice are racial slurs against your own people. the
wiliness of the Duergar, not the craftiness. the hubris of a race which shouldn't rise above its station.
even the humans who visit treat you with respect that is just above a slave master."
(14:52:41) Gary: (some humans haven't done this, but in your current reading of the book of Laduguer,
you have noticed the other things in some of your reading)
(14:53:00) Paul: (do the Duergar keep slaves in your world?)
(14:53:22) Gary: (uhm. . . what do you think)
(14:53:43) Paul: (I think yes)
(14:53:44) Gary: y
(14:53:54) Gary: (okay)
(14:55:33) Gary: "you say that Mekhi has not betrayed your trust, but whose interest in the world does
he serve primarily, Duergar or men" the disdain in the last word might have been heard on the other
side of the portal.
(14:55:41) Paul: "But we *are* slavemasters. If humans do not see the true meaning of this, that is their
failing. When they fall in the darkness to our hammers and axes, then they know the truth, as our slaves
themselves."
(14:56:45) Paul: "Mekhi gives the greatsword unto his human priests, yet unto us he gives the War
axe..."
(14:57:02) Paul: "We are not neglected in his consideration".
(14:58:34) Gary: "Slavemasters who subtly serve, are little better than those who are knowingly slave.
(14:59:03) Gary: "I want to show you something." the book that was under his right arm flies levitates
towards you.
(15:00:11) Paul: "rather would I *subtly serve* awaiting the day of my true uprising, than to be a true
slave as in the book of Laduguer" and he is implying slave TO Laduguer, not freed by Laduguer

(15:00:31) Gary: "Mekhi stole my axe, thus allowing you to use it. It was my darkest day, and one I am
not at all proud of."
(15:01:25) Paul: Raganaht catches the book
(15:01:59) Paul: "Does not his taking of your axe demonstrate his superior strength and cunning"?
(15:02:01) Gary: "Ahh, I figured some editing would be done to my writing. the book hovering in front
of you is the true book of Laduguer. written in my hand, using the blood of illithid as ink.
(15:03:12) Paul: "Your writing?"
(15:03:40) Paul: "You accuse my patron god of lies, and then present me with your own?"
(15:04:40) Paul: "Shall I prepare a book of Raganaht for you, so that you can see how I have risen to the
throne of Solacia?"
(15:05:47) Gary: "as to your first question, Yes, they did best me." he pauses for a minute and looks
intently at you. "Pafnati, Mekhi and Dikazi, together, did best me. my shame has known no bounds. that
does not mean that I am bound to not fight back.
(15:06:03) Gary: "And, all that I ask of you towards the book is to read it yourself."
(15:06:15) Gary: "Choose what is lies for yourself."
(15:06:37) Gary: sorry, "Choose what is lies and what is truth for yourself."
(15:07:23) Gary: "you have guessed correctly, I think, though. You believe correctly that I have called
you to serve me instead of Mekhi."
(15:08:13) Paul: "It is hardly a guess, when summoned by one who introduces himself as my people's
'True god'."
(15:08:25) Paul: "For now all you ask is that I read"
(15:08:31) Paul: "That is fair enough"
(15:08:45) Paul: "But you would have me do more than this alone"
(15:08:56) Gary: "True. I also have a quest for you, but the nature of that quest will be for you to
decide."
(15:09:10) Paul: "State your intentions plainly. If you wanted to be cryptic, I could have found this book
anywhere"
(15:09:32) Gary: "Very well, " (give me a moment
(15:09:35) Paul: "I tire of clues and riddles"

(15:09:39) Paul: (okay)

(15:10:29) Paul: (Raganaht would have sat down right there and read, if not for the 45 minute limit.
(15:10:45) Paul: (he'd have gone through the whole book)
(15:12:36) Gary: I, and others who were kicked out 1000 years ago would like to come back to your
plane. hence the multiple summonings from your group. I wish for you to serve me as my first priest,
although, I would like you to know that I have a backup plan. The first order of business is my axe. it
belongs in the hands of a Duergar. It is currently in the ruins closest to where our people live.
(15:14:04) Gary: "you quest is to claim that axe. in the name of whatever god you choose. I would be
vexed if you claim it in the name of Mekhi, but the only compunction I want to lay upon you is the
choice."
(15:14:12) Paul: "Mekhi has left your axe to lie in ruins?" Now Raganaht shifts noticeably from bravado
to outrage
(15:14:30) Paul: The AXE OF THE DUERGAR"?
(15:14:30) Gary: (should read, "your first quest.")
(15:15:23) Gary: "Correct, it was only important to him that I not have it. Remember, the longsword is
his weapon of choice.
(15:15:39) Gary: (or whatever we decided was his weapon)
(15:15:52) Paul: (sure- that's what we decided)
(15:16:39) Gary: "your next quest will be to stop however the nine made travel there so difficult."
(15:17:00) Paul: "Next quest?"
(15:17:12) Paul: "I have not yet accepted your first"
(15:17:27) Gary: "I hope you will also choose to lead the Duergar to the me."
(15:17:40) Gary: "you told me to lay it all on the table, Hazard."
(15:18:03) Paul: "fine. then I shall return the favor"
(15:18:16) Gary: (although my tone seems a little beggy, his tone is one of frankness, power and
sureness.
(15:18:34) Gary: "very well. go on."
(15:19:10) Paul: (Raganaht has lost most of his fear with the exchange about the axe- Laddy should be
able to see clearly that the first quest is already accepted, in all but speaking the words)

(15:19:48) Gary: (accepted for claiming it in the name of Laduguer or just claiming it?)
(15:20:12) Paul: (Claiming it...for whom is yet to be decided)
(15:20:21) Gary: (I thought so)
(15:22:04) Paul: "I have no way to know if what you say (Raggy waves the book in the air) is truth. I shall
find this axe. If it is the axe that I wield by the magic of my god, and if it lies in any state save the
splendor it deserves, you may then have my allegiance"...
(15:22:31) Paul: "For then I shall have some measure of proof of your words".
(15:23:05) Gary: "very well," he smiles, "know that I have sent another priest on the same errand. I
encourage competition, it is the only way to better one's self."
(15:23:54) Paul: Raggy smiles "I would know the name and clan of this priest, so that I will recognize
him when he arrives after me"
(15:24:10) Gary: (hold on)
(15:24:34) Paul: (it can come later, if he's gonna give the name)
(15:25:22) Paul: (all I need to know is if I know him, and if so, is there personal animosity between us,
and how much more powerful than me is he)
(15:26:24) Gary: oh yes. he is a priest of Dikazi. highly applauded by your people. partly responsible for
clan hazard's shame. a little younger than you, about your brother's age. probably on par with you.
(15:27:03) Paul: (So I can expect to kill him, if I can get him into lawful combat. Sweet)
(15:27:38) Gary: ( you know he has friends, though. and is closer to the ruins that you are.)
(15:27:53) Gary: "you will have some questions later on. one of which is how will your power be if you
come over to me."
(15:29:03) Paul: back up a second "I too, value competition. Strength is not in the easy path. but you
put me at a disadvantage, and I am already skeptical of you"
(15:29:08) Gary: (he explains what we went over, but in game terms. he seems happy that you might be
bringing another domain to him).
(15:30:17) Gary: "yes, but you have the advantage of being you. shouldn't that be enough. Life is not
always fair, but although he may find the axe before you, neither of you will be able to claim it without
the other's blood."
(15:30:39) Paul: "So..."
(15:30:47) Gary: (I just made that up)

(15:30:47) Paul: "What you say is true..."

(15:30:56) Paul: (that was GOOD, BTW)
(15:31:04) Paul: (but Raggy is greedy)
(15:31:28) Paul: "Yet were Mekhi to call me to a quest, I know that I could depend on his favor..."
(15:31:45) Gary: "continue," he says.
(15:32:04) Paul: "If he should truly find myself against his interests, he might withdraw his favor from
me..."
(15:32:29) Paul: "In this quest, for however short a time I am your champion, this I accept, for now..."
(15:33:10) Paul: "What favor will you show me, as I do your will? Know that while I quest for you, I shall
not speak against Mekhi until your place is proven in this."
(15:33:55) Paul: (there was a comma after 'short a time')
(15:34:00) Gary: He rises, takes off his cloak, (it is blood red w/his sigil traced lightly into the back of it).
"For now, this will hide your thoughts from Mekhi without compromising the power he gives to you."
(15:34:28) Gary: "if you come to me freely, there may be other benefits to the cloak."
(15:35:20) Gary: (as he gives you the cloak, the sigil, which upon thinking about it was boldly on the
back, starts to fade and is gone the first time you put it on).
(15:36:25) Paul: "Very well...In the absence of further proof of your words, I come not wholly to you. I
can expect little else from you." (baiting him to offer more to prove his worthiness to be the Duergar
god)
(15:39:04) Gary: he smiles again, "would you like to take one of my priests with you." five Duergar walk
through the walls of the cavern. "but no, you wouldn't believe them either. I cannot make this easy for
you. you will have three questions that you can write in the back pages of the book. I have enough
influence on your plane to answer them."
(15:39:29) Gary: (sorry, but you will have 3 . .
(15:40:36) Gary: "sending you on this quest should be proof enough that I have your and the Duergar
interest at heart."
(15:40:57) Gary: "you strengthen yourself by trying yourself against a rival . . . (hold on, let him finish)
(15:40:59) Paul: (no apologies...I just can't see Raggy making this easy on him. By his own words, he
claims to have been defeated by Mekhi and his allies- proof of weakness)
(15:41:39) Gary: "you bring an important artifact back to the Duergar people."

(15:42:12) Gary: "and you take my words back to my people, which is to my benefit."
(15:42:17) Gary: okay, done.
(15:43:23) Paul: "As you say. So, in accordance with tradition, I state the following:"
(15:44:30) Paul: "I accept your book, and shell read. My heart will weigh these words, and shall be
considered fairly..."
(15:46:11) Paul: "I accept your quest, and shall go forth. I will reclaim the axe, for the Duergar people,
and for myself. If it is as you say, cast aside by Mekhi, it shall be returned to you as well, for I believe
your words will have been proven..."
(15:47:14) Paul: "I accept your cloak, but not you sigil, as a gift to prevent misunderstanding with
Mekhi, yet I will not speak out against him solely on your word"...
(15:48:11) Paul: "I accept no further obligation, beyond completion of this quest. I am your champion. I
may yet be your priest. I am not, and never shall be your slave"...
(15:48:12) Gary: "Very well, Raganaht Hazard. your time is up. if you wish to return, have a few
moments left to do so." (you are stunned that 43 minutes have passed).
(15:49:21) Gary: he smiles at the slave comment, "that would be retrograde to my beliefs to put you in
any sort of chains. be my champion, read my words, and come to me only of your own free will."
(15:50:03) Paul: "In accordance with tradition, I state the penalty of our contract. If you have lied, if you
betray me, betray the Duergar, it shall be my duty, my destiny, to bring all the Duergar people against
you, into your very throne room itself, and take your head with mine own axe"...
(15:50:15) Paul: "this I Swear".
(15:50:50) Paul: (I hope that he would have let Raggy finish before calling time
(15:50:57) Paul: (I hope...)
(15:51:12) Gary: his amusement increases, "I would expect nothing else. now go, Raganaht Hazard, you
have things to do."
(15:51:27) Gary: his dismissal is quite apparent.
(15:51:34) Paul: "By your leave, Laduguer"
(15:52:23) Gary: he has already turned to one of the five priests that came in. . . and you rush, without
seeming like you're rushing to the portal and step into the ruins.
(15:52:32) Paul: before leaving, Raggy studies the surroundings on his way to the portal...
(15:52:49) Paul: trying to fix the place in his head, in case he ever wants to return

(15:53:00) Paul: or as he's leaving

(15:53:01) Gary: The portal is only ten feet around on this side, but is otherwise exactly like the one on
the other side.
(15:53:22) Paul: Okay...Raggy leaves
(15:54:11) Gary: Treyla attacks you as you come through, "you stupid sonofabitch, what the fuck were
you doing. . . . I thought we had lost you for good you . . ." your slap to her face gets her attention and
composure back.
(15:54:30) Gary: everyone is awake when you get back. awakened by Treyla.
(15:54:38) Gary: but we will have to do that on Friday.
(15:55:06) Paul: okay. Raggy will say excuse me, go somewhere private, and throw up.
(15:55:13) Gary: lol
(15:55:23) Paul: then he will come back to the group for whatever discussion is going on.
(15:55:52) Gary: you can now read the entire document of the book of Laduguer. you probably won't
get much more sleep tonight I assume.
(15:56:27) Paul: no- he will prolly skim the book, and go to sleep when the adrenaline crash comes
(15:56:40) Gary: true.
(15:56:46) Paul: I wish the chat conversation had flowed a little more smoothly
(15:57:12) Paul: Raggy would have asked if Laddy had priests of his own here, why not send one of
them?
(15:57:23) Paul: BUT...
(15:57:34) Paul: having not had the opportunity to ask that...
(15:57:41) Gary: yes, there were a couple of moments where I was typing and trying to answer a
previous comment.
(15:57:47) Paul: Raggy will ponder that, as a possible sign of weakness
(15:57:57) Paul: ponder? no ponder
(15:58:09) Paul: Raggy will ponder that
(15:58:18) Gary: however, he can only come to you in dreams at the moment, and he stated something
about how planar travel to this plane is hard.

(15:58:40) Paul: hence the need for the open portal

(15:58:43) Paul: okay
(15:58:48) Paul: that satisfies that
(15:59:58) Gary: you are wondering why the other Duergar didn't have to come too, except that the
mere possibility of a cool item would have been enough for the other Duergar asshole to have signed his
soul on the dotted line.
(16:00:34) Paul: Actually, Raggy is deeply offended that the other asshole was spoken to first
(16:00:55) Paul: and it was that fact that kept him from committing to more
(16:00:58) Gary: although, there is truly a lot to be admired (from outside your clan) from this guy, so
he also makes perfect sense to start a cult of Laddy. not as good as you, and yet better--you are a better
Duergar, but a little of an outsider to your people.
(16:01:39) Paul: A priest of Dikazi has less reason to travel
(16:01:59) Gary: spoken to at same time, but given more information sooner. yet not accorded a direct
meeting with the dude.
(16:02:12) Paul: That wasn't clear to me
(16:03:15) Gary: Laddy is probably telling the asshole in a dream at the same time he is talking to you.
(16:03:28) Gary: it may have not been clear, but that is what happened.
(16:04:26) Paul: So..he brought me all the way her, to go back to Dogkago (Dorgar) to find the damned
axe
(16:04:38) Gary: (it may not have been clear, b/c I just made it up)
(16:04:55) Paul: No worries- it's good
(16:05:29) Gary: you are slightly closer to the axe from here than in Cithrael. not much. the problem will
be when the others want to go back to Cithrael tomorrow. (if they do).
(16:06:03) Gary: you know that the asshole has a troupe of people working with him, so you probably
can't do this alone. which probably pisses you off.
(16:06:26) Paul: Laddy said: " It is currently in the ruins closest to where our people live."
(16:07:08) Paul: we have travelled away from Dorgar to get to here...Cithrael is practically on the way
(16:07:12) Paul: isn't it?
(16:07:39) Paul: nevermind

(16:07:43) Paul: I take that back

(16:07:44) Gary: on the Westlands map, it is the ruins south of Dorgar. represented by the red star
(16:08:15) Gary: alright, I really need to go. quickly, what did you think?
(16:08:22) Paul: I don't have the map with the stars on the laptop
(16:08:28) Paul: I LIKED it!
(16:08:43) Paul: the quest is cool
(16:09:15) Gary: good. I thought that would be good.
(16:09:25) Paul: the idea that Mekhi has tossed the axe into ruins is cool, and an insult worth leaving
him for
(16:10:16) Gary: when you detect magic on the book: there is some divine magic woven into the book.
some protection auras that make you believe it would be quite difficult to destroy.
(16:10:34) Paul: cool
(16:11:01) Gary: yes, I liked that, it just flowed with the conversation. I hated that I had to make the
Laddy look weak, but I think it balanced out with the slight of the axe.
(16:11:10) Paul: agreed
(16:11:38) Paul: if Laddy comes back against all his foes, and if he has taken allies, Raggy will see these
as signs of strength
(16:11:59) Gary: the cloak is impressive. there is no normal enhancements on it, but there is something
woven into the fabric that is of a different aura than you have ever seen.
(16:12:36) Paul: neat. A two way mirror to Mekhi
(16:12:42) Gary: it seems to filter the thoughts of the wearer with psionics instead of magic. t
(16:12:50) Paul: awesome
(16:13:18) Paul: Raggy will probably take it off when doing his kata
(16:13:24) Gary: the filter is probably temporary, and is already starting to fade. after a week's
observance, you will find that you will have a month of that ability.
(16:13:32) Paul: cool
(16:13:39) Paul: I gotta go.
(16:13:45) Paul: Call me later if you want

(16:13:49) Gary: it only filters, it doesn't hide, so he could still wear it even when asking prayers of
Mekhi.
(16:13:54) Gary: okay.
(16:14:02) Gary: I need to go to. have fun, say hi to Erek.
(16:14:07) Paul: will do
(16:14:08) Paul: bye
(16:14:15) Gary: bye
