peers, and she is good at taking turns and

knowing whos turn it is. She is doing great in her concepts about print, phonological awareness, letter
and word knowledge, and her emergent writing. She went around one day writing part of her name on
these stickers and giving them to the other children. She even wrote some of the letters in other
childrens names. She knows almost all of her ABCs. She can also almost count to twenty in the
correct order. Her physical development is outstanding. She can balance on one foot for five plus
seconds and hop on one foot. She can also cut out simple shapes with the scissors and squeeze the
glue bottles without any assistance. She is also aware of health routines. She does not need to be
reminded to wash her hands. One day there was another girl who dropped her spoon, and Allison told
the teacher for the girl.
Areas your child is currently working on include...
Allison is working on her comprehension of age-appropriate text. She is working on her conflict
negotiation skills. She is coming to the adults more when she encounters a problem. She is also
working on her cause and effect and problem solving skills. In math Allison has three areas that she is
working on which include measurement, shapes, and pattering.
We (teachers, caregivers, families) can help your child learn and develop in the program by...
Providing more cause and effect activities that spark Allisons interest so in turn she will be able to work
on her cause and effect and problem solving development. We will also work with her on her
mathematical development in the areas of measurements, shapes, and patterning by establishing
games and activities accordingly.
You can help your child learn and develop at home by...
You can help her language and literacy development by reading to her and talking about the story,
