ABOUT DIVINE INTERVENTIONS

Divine Interventions: Documentary, Spirituality and Social Justice

is a Cinema Politica program that features documentary
screenings with on-site and online discussions about religion,
pluralism, spirituality and social justice. The events will take
place at various locations across Canada between October 2014
and March 2015.
Divine Interventions examines the ways in which spirituality,
religion, and secularism can foster or inhibit a culture of
pluralism, civic participation, and social engagement across
cultural, religious, and ethnic borders.

DIVINE
INTERVENTIONS
Documentary, Spirituality and Social Justice

Initially funded by the Inspirit Foundation and organized in

collaboration with the Documentary Organization of Canada,
Divine Interventions was launched in 2013. The series is back
for a second round of provocative doc screenings and devoted
dialogue, this time with additional support from Canada
Council for the Arts and the Quebec Arts Council. We are
thrilled to bring this popular program back to screens and
scenes across Canada and beyond.
