bring you this sneak preview of a
brand new base display kit which
we will be launching very
soon. The base pictured has
been designed to
complement our new Pumpkin
Cottage kit, however it will also work well with
many other previously released Petite Properties 1:48th
house kits!
Alongside the structure of the base, integral front steps
and fencing, the kit will also include a variety of
landscaping medium and it will also come with full colour,
step by step instructions, which will show how to bring the
base to life. However, please note that the twigs I have
used to create the trees will not be included in the kit.
A price is yet to be confirmed, so as ever
watch this space!

Base kit. Inspired by a family visit to a local farm, this rustic countryside scene has
been designed as a unique addition to any quarter scale collection.
The Shepherds Hut has a fully removable roof for ease of access and internally it
features not only a wood stove and side table, but also a shepherds bed & lambing
pen too! The kit includes: 'full colour' step by step instructions, glazing, pre cut
carcass, internal furniture, door and windows etc.

The shepherd's hut pictured has been decorated and painted exclusively using colours from our Petite
Properties' paint range. Bea has also used two very easy projects taken from her new book to create the
exterior finish of the shepherd's hut - the 'Corrugated Metal Roof' project on page 75 and the
'Cardboard Cladding' project on page 51.

Wishy Washy Stone - The ideal shade for either highlighting

stonework or for creating paler muted rendered exteriors. This is
the colour Bea used to bring 'Le Petit Palais' to life!

Red Squirrel - A more intense terracotta shade, ideal for adding character and
depth to brickwork, pantiles or quarry tiles.
Bea's Brick Mortar - The perfect shade to use to create mellow brickwork
or even stonework!
Old Beams - Bea uses this rich shade for not only beams, but for furniture and
floorboards too.
Wood Stove - Mixed simply for those times when flat black is just far too
harsh and modern!
Stormy Skies - Probably Bea's most used shade of grey, with uses too
numerous to mention. A definite 'must have' shade!
Soot Ash - Another of Bea's default shades of grey. It is a highly versatile
shade and an ideal base for both slate roof tiles or weathered oak beams alike.

grey which is perfect for bringing either lead work or flint stones to life!
Itchy Blanket - A soft muted shade of grey which Bea uses throughout her miniature work, from beams to

Old Sock White - What can we add, as the name says it all! Quite simply this is a versatile vintage white
that's ideal in period settings.
Top Of The Milk - A classically muted 'off white' used extensively by Bea on her external and internal
woodwork.
Runny Custard - A traditional heavy cream, ideal for nostalgic rendered interior or exterior finishes.
Marshmallow Pink -The quintessential colour of the idyllic thatched cottages of the UK. Inspired by Bea's

Announcing our big ex display sell off..!

Here in PP HQ we are having a good old clear out and beginning
on Thursday 16th October 2014 we will be gradually auctioning
off many of our unwanted ex display quarter scale houses!
However, before you all get too excited, please note that we will
NOT be selling any of the fully decorated houses that Bea has
created and which adorn the PP stand.
We are instead auctioning off many of the constructed, but
undecorated quarter scale example dolls houses that Bea has
made over the years for the purpose of photographing for the
accompanying instructions for each kit.
Each of these sell off items will be listed with no reserve and with a
