NOUNS
Nouns are the names of people (doctor), places (city),or things (books).
In English, there are two kinds of nouns:
COUNT NOUNS and NON COUNT NOUNS.
It is important to understand the difference between them, because they use
different articles, and non-count nouns usually have no plural.
Here is a summary of the differences.
COUNT NOUNS
Count nouns are easy to recognize. They are things that we can count.
For example: book. We can count books. That means that there can be
more than one of them. Also, when a count noun is singular and indefinite,
the article a/an is often used with it. (The real meaning of a is one.)
My book is red.
My books are new.
A cat is an animal.
I like oranges.
Bottles can break.
NON-COUNT NOUNS
Non-count nouns are usually things which cannot be counted or they are
difficult to count, such as rice or water. Non-count nouns usually have
no plural forms. They are singular. We use a singular verb.

separate elements. We cannot "count" them.

You can usually tell if a noun is count or non-count by thinking about it.
Count nouns are usually objects.
Remember that count-nouns have both singular and plural forms.
Plural numbers and some quantifiers can precede count nouns but not
non-count nouns.
Dont forget that count nous are the names of separate objects, people,
ideas, etc., which can be counted.
There are several categories of Count-Nouns than can help you organize
your study. Some of them are listed here.

Quantifiers
Because NON COUNTABLE nouns do not have plurals and cannot be counted in
the normal way, we can use containers and measurements of weight and volume
to "quantify" them.
Besides that, we can use quantifiers like some, any, a little, and a lot of as a way
of "measuring" them.
