!nfantry vs infantry ; those failing test rout.
Ioining a "elee fro" the direction it is being pushed bac. negates the auto"atic i"petus of fresh
troops =although those who would nor"ally count it still do>, otherwise even those not "oving the
ualifying distance count i"petus on the "ove they ?oin.
Pursuit
1avalry always pursue, close order inf never.
!nitial pursuit is a wal. 9 (6 for cav 9(3 for inf, troops re"aining in contact get a free stri.e
without i"petus.
The second "ove is at a trot and the final at a charge. 8outers are then dee"ed dispersed and the
pursuers test with 2 (6 needing @9 to rally, na"ed leaders with the unit add their rating =which will
usually subtract 1 or 2J>. Those passing "ay halt where they are or trot to a safer position ta.ing 3
"oves halted before testing to rally.
Those failing are dee"ed to leave the table in a direct line and a "ar.er that is ?u"per proof placed
at the spot, should they leave the table before their third "ove the sa"e applies but they still get to
test to halt on their third "ove.
Returning fro! off ta#le
There are two "ethods for ascertaining how "any troops return.
1.roll one (6 per si7 figures or part thereof, that have left and the su" is the nu"ber returning with
the proviso that "ore figures cannot return than left, any e7cess is ta.en as hit "ar.ers ; no one
li.es being stopped fro" a bit of 84n4C.
2.8oll a (6 for each figure that has left once they have passed the halt test0 on the first "ove after
leaving the table 3,',-,6 to return then ',-,6, and so on until only 64s return.
Troops ta.e as "any "oves as they are off table to reach the table edge.
8eturning troops roll 1(6 for each "ove they were off table and one of a different colour0 this gives
the direction odd to the player4s left, even to the right, the others the nu"ber of inches the centre of
the unit arrives at a wal. at fro" the original position they e7ited.
