CINEBENCH R11.

5 Readme
CINEBENCH Release 11.5 is so easy to understand and use that no manual is
really required. However, here is some information about some advaned
o!tions.
Saving results
CINEBENCH does not have a separate ""ave#" option. The results of a
benchmark will automatically be saved when you uit the pro!ram. If an
identical benchmark results file e"ists# CINEBENCH will ask if it should be
replaced or saved as a new file.
Sharing results
If you want to share your benchmark results# please make sure to fill out the
Info field with the computer type you have tested $i.e. manufacturer and model
or "%ohn &oe's (ffice )C"*. The file containin! your result can be found inside the
cb+rankin! folder ne"t to the CINEBENCH application. There are various places
on the internet that publish CINEBENCH results for comparison. %ust search for
"cinebench results".
File menu Keep Best Scre
If you have run the benchmark multiple times in a row# this option assures that
only the best score will be kept for the rankin!. &ue to the technolo!y of modern
operatin! systems and C), desi!ns it is possible that the benchmark results will
differ sli!htly from time to time. -or more information on this sub.ect please
refer to the technical info section at www.cinebench.com.
File menu !dvanced Benchmar"
If you enable this option you will be offered another test option called "C),
$sin!le core*". This test will run CINEBENCH as if there were only one C), core
available in your machine. This can be useful to have an indicator of how well
the computer performs sin!le/threaded tasks. It also calculates an 0) ratio#
which indicates how much speed/up there is between sin!le core and multi core.
1dditionally# the reference match will be displayed# which shows how close the
!raphics card display is to the reference ima!e.
File menu Run all Selected #ests
If you previously enabled 1dvanced Benchmark# check bo"es were placed ne"t
to each test procedure. This command starts all checked tests at once. Be
careful when e"ecutin! this command on older computers. If the !raphics card
test fails# the procedure will be interrupted. 1lso renderin! both sin!le core and
multi core tests can take uite lon! on slow computers.
File menu $re%erences
Here you can chan!e the lan!ua!e of the CINEBENCH interface. 2ou can also
manually define a custom number of up to 34 render threads# even if your
machine does not have that many cores. This feature is only rarely needed but
may be useful for some very advanced benchmarkin! cycles.
Cmmand line ptins
It is also possible to launch CINEBENCH with command line options. )lease refer
to your operatin! system manual on how to start an application usin! the
command line. 1fter the name of the application enter one of the options listed
below. CINEBENCH will then be e"ecuted# run the specified test# then uit and
display the result in the command line console. The result is not saved as a file.
The followin! options are available5
"/cb+cpu6" / runs only the 7in!le Core test procedure
"/cb+cpu"" / runs only the 0ulti Core test procedure
"/cb+open!l" / runs only the (pen89 test procedure
"/cb+all" / runs all test procedures seuentially
