Ever wonder what icons are available for your custom buttons in a ressource DLL
??
This is a neat little app that'll show all the available button images for you.
You point out the DLL you want to browse, and the app will make a new buttonpad
and
try to generate buttons for all bitmaps numbered from 0 to 255, ignoring all the

numbers that fails.
All available buttons will have a tool tip and an action that shows the
ressource number to use.
You may open as many DLL's as your GDI ressources allow. Each separate buttonpad

will have the full path name of the DLL as a title.
Note however that MapInfo may not release used GDI ressources dynamically, but o
nly
when terminating itself.
Also note that the app will only open 16/32 bit DLL according to the MapInfo ver
sion
used. And it only works in a MapInfo Professional for Windows - off course :-)
New in version 3:
The dialog box shown when clicking on a displayed button now shows a dialog simi
lar to
the sample app IconDemo. With one important difference: you may change the name.
This is used to implement the "save as DEF file" function that can be executed u
sing
the new 2nd button (diskette icon) on the shown pad. First you're prompted for t
he DEF
file pathname, and then you're prompted for a prefix to prepending the button na
mes with.
Then the DEF file is written, readily usable by your MapBasic program, similar t
o the
standard Icons.def file.
New in version 4:
It now loops from 0 to 1023. Earlier the upper limit was 255.
