Townsend Elevates Daniel S. Young to Partner

Denver, CO – Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP announced today the election of
Daniel S. Young to partner in the Denver office of the San Francisco-based
intellectual property law firm. The firm also elected new partners in its San
Diego and Seattle offices.

demonstrated the combination of legal talent and client focus that is more

offices outside of the San Francisco Bay Area, in our San Diego, Seattle and
Denver offices – underscoring the national reach of our practice.”

Townsend’s new partners also possess a wide range of legal and technical
abilities, practicing in many different areas of patent prosecution, litigation
and counseling for clients in the life sciences, medical devices, electronics and
related industries:

Daniel S. Young, 38, advises clients with regard to all aspects of intellectual
property litigation and counseling. Mr. Young has extensive experience litigating
patent disputes in a number of technology areas, including semiconductor
processing, software, and financial transactions, before federal courts throughout
the United States, the International Trade Commission, and private arbitration.
Mr. Young also has significant experience in litigating trademark and copyright
disputes. In addition to litigation, Mr. Young counsels clients on a wide range
of intellectual property licensing issues, including software and patent licenses.
Mr. Young is a 2001 graduate of the University of Denver College of Law. He also
received a degree in civil engineering in 1994 from the United States Military
Academy at West Point, and is registered to practice before the United States
Patent and Trademark Office.
