Estimados alumnos, Espero que estn muy bien y listos para empezar esta EE. Lo primero que se les pide son muchas ganas y un gusto por llevar esta EE. El ingls requiere sobre todo prctica y aprendizaje a base de intentos, correccin y revisin. As que estaremos al pendiente para que esta EE puedas disfrutarla y ver las grandes bondades de aprender otro idioma no slo porque me lo piden, sino por gusto y deseo de aprender. II. INTRODUCCIN AL CENTRO DE AUTOACCESO
El Centro de Auto Acceso (CAA para abreviar) est diseado para funcionar como un rea de prctica y autoaprendizaje. Su uso ayuda a desarrollar el proceso de aprendizaje autnomo del idioma ingls. Brinda atencin a los alumnos que cursan las experiencias educativas de Ingls I y II en modalidad de autoaprendizaje o presencial. Los alumnos autnomos utilizan el CAA, para cumplir un calendario de actividades, no cuentan con horario especifico y son guiados por diferentes asesores para acreditar la experiencia educativa. Ser alumno autnomo implica responsabilidad, honestidad y un compromiso en trminos de independencia y libertad, por lo cual se te sugiere estar al pendiente de todas las actividades en el CAA y de los avisos publicados en la pgina del CAA, en la plataforma de aprendizaje y Facebook. El CAA est formado por el siguiente personal: 4 Asesores: Apoyan tu aprendizaje para acreditar la experiencia, elaborando material y guindote en el desarrollo de tus actividades. 2 Instructoras: Brindan atencin a los usuarios, llevan el control de las actividades escolares y en la base de datos. 1 Tcnico acadmico: Da soporte tcnico de los equipos que se utilizan en el Centro de Auto acceso. El CAA cuenta con 4 reas: Lectura y Escritura, Audio, Cmputo y Conversacin, en las cuales encontrars diversos recursos que te sern de gran utilidad para acreditar esta experiencia educativa. III. Experiencia educativa de ingls a travs de autoacceso La experiencia educativa (para abreviar EE) de ingls II tiene como antecedente lo que estudiaste en Ingls I. Los contenidos son un repaso de un nivel bsico de ingls. Adems de aprender ingls, esta EE en la modalidad de autoaprendizaje tiene como objetivo el fomento de las estrategias de aprendizaje y el uso de las nuevas tecnologas de la comunicacin en la educacin. Es por ello que gran parte del material con el que vas a trabajar: est en formato basado en computadora; es un material adaptado para aprender ingls, tiene autoevaluaciones y retroalimentaciones y est diseado para autoevaluarte.
Recuerda utilizar este manual todo el tiempo, porque explica en detalle todo el funcionamiento del curso, la forma en que se va a evaluar, las actividades de aprendizaje y la forma de comprobar los registros de las mismas. Es importante que adquieras un compromiso muy fuerte para cursar esta EE, pues gran parte de la calificacin se encuentra bajo tu responsabilidad y el inters que muestres. Ten presente que el personal del CAA est disponible para apoyarte en tu proceso. Mucha suerte y adelante.

Las actividades que realizars como alumno autnomo te permitirn desarrollar las habilidades bsicas de comprensin de lectura, comprensin escrita, expresin oral y expresin escrita. Aunado a esto, tu desempeo en el CAA es evaluado en diferentes rubros, por lo que es importante que identifiques el valor en porcentaje de cada uno de ellos. La calificacin mnima aprobatoria para la EE de Ingls es 6 (60%).

Nota: Recuerda que esta tabla de evaluacin comprende lo que ser evaluado en el CAA. Cualquier otra actividad que realices extra son slo para que mejores tu aprendizaje, pero no estn incluidos en la evaluacin. VI. CALENDARIO El calendario de actividades tiene como objetivo presentar una programacin de las actividades que debes realizar como alumno autnomo. Incluye las fechas en que debes realizar:
1) Evaluaciones temticas 2) Composiciones escritas 3) Clubes de conversacin 4) Exmenes parciales 5) Tutoras en los Talleres de Nivelacin (No forman parte de la evaluacin. Son tomados solo cuando necesites mejorar tu aprendizaje) 6) Examen Final Escrito 7) Examen Final Oral Tambin se te sugiere observar el tiempo que necesitas dedicar a esta EE a la semana y sobre todo a los temas que vas a abordar de acuerdo con las fechas estipuladas. La informacin de este calendario es de utilidad para programar y sincronizar tu tiempo de manera que ests al tanto de las fechas de las actividades a realizar de esta EE.

El glosario que se proporciona aqu es muy til y completamente indispensable para revisar qu palabras, expresiones y verbos tendrs que aprender en esta EE. Dicho material est clasificado por temas, para que repases el vocabulario y sobre todo lo integres en las funciones comunicativas. Materiales del Centro de Autoacceso Los materiales del centro de autoacceso estn elaborados para cubrir parte del programa de ingls 1 y 2. EVALUACIONES POR TEMA Las evaluaciones por tema se realizan en el rea de cmputo del CAA y se presentan de acuerdo con el calendario de actividades en las fechas y horas correspondientes a tu carrera. Los horarios se publican en la recepcin y por medio de la cuenta institucional de la red social Facebook con el nombre de usuario CAA Coatzacoalcos. Puedes agregar la cuenta a tus amigos con el nombre o con la cuenta de correo caacoatza@hotmail.com. Debers hacerlas al final de cada tema. Esta evaluacin por tema permite que tu aprendizaje mejore. Recuerda que el valor de todas ellas es de 10% sobre las calificaciones que obtuviste en cada una. COMPOSICIONES ESCRITAS Son mini exmenes escritos que vas a realizar tomando en cuenta las palabras clave que se te proporcionan. Son 4 composiciones en total y su valor ser del 5%. Toma en cuenta las fechas para presentar estas composiciones pues se realizan de manera presencial en el CAA de acuerdo con el calendario. 41 CLUBES DE CONVERSACION Proceso para realizar el Club de Conversacin: El club de conversacin es un espacio designado para que practiques y seas evaluado en la habilidad oral del idioma ingls. Realiza los siguientes pasos: a) Antes del club o Previamente estudia el tema, las estructuras gramaticales, vocabulario y pronunciacin correspondientes a las unidades del programa educativo que corresponda el club. o Puedes ver videos o realizar conversaciones simuladas con tus compaeros. o Antes de entrar al club repasa la elaboracin de preguntas y respuestas sobre el tema, el vocabulario y las expresiones ms comunes de esos temas.
b) Durante el Club o Se te proporciona una gua que tienes que seguir al pie de la letra. o La gua primero te contextualiza sobre el tema del club. Sigue las indicaciones. o Despues de contextualizarte sobre el tema, trabaja en equipo con tus compaeros para estudiar y repasar vocabulario, expresiones, preguntas y respuestas sobre el tema. c) Al final El asesor entra despus de que se realiz la etapa de estudio del tema y realiza lo siguiente: o Forma en parejas a los participantes. o Realiza preguntas directas. o Expresa preguntas abiertas. o Proporciona una conversacin para que en pareja la abordes y ejecutes. o Tienes 3 minutos para llevarla a cabo. o El asesor evala en un rango de 0 a 20 tu desempeo en el club. Si tu evaluacin de los 4 clubes fue siempre de 15 o ms, exentars el Examen Oral Final. Se te pedir tu consentimiento para que tu asesor te cuente tu promedio en el club, en caso de que an excento prefieras mejorar tu calificacin. Apartado del Club: Tienes que acudir al autoacceso y anotarte en la lista correspondiente al nivel que ests cursando. Esta lista se encuentra al lado de la computadora de registro. Slo se aceptarn 6 alumnos por club para que el asesor pueda brindarte un mejor apoyo. Escoge la fecha y el horario del club de conversacin que mejor se adapte a tu disponibilidad de horario. Slo hay 6 lugares disponibles para cada club de conversacin. Tienes que realizar 4 clubes de conversacin durante el semestre, los cuales te darn un porcentaje de 10 %. NOTA: Si el estudiante no llega durante los 10 minutos de tolerancia, otro alumno puede ocupar este lugar. EXMENES PARCIALES Presentars 2 exmenes parciales durante el semestre. El primer examen parcial lo presentars al final de los primeros cuatro temas del programa de actividades de acuerdo con el calendario de actividades y el segundo examen parcial se aplicar al finalizar el programa. Los realizars en las computadoras del Centro de Auto acceso. Para que puedas presentar dichos exmenes tendrs que estar pendiente de las fechas proporcionadas por las Instructoras Acadmicas. Si tu calificacin es siempre de 9 o ms en los dos exmenes parciales, entonces exentas el Examen Final Escrito. Tu asesor asignado te preguntar si deseas que se te ponga 42 esa puntuacin en el apartado de Examen Final Escrito o si prefieres presentar dicho Examen Final para mejorar tu calificacin. EXAMEN FINAL ESCRITO. Como toda EE, ingls tambin cuenta con un examen final escrito al trmino del curso con la finalidad de evaluar la competencia de tu aprendizaje. Se encuentra dividido en tres secciones: lectura, escritura y audio. Cada una de estas secciones cuenta con un total de 20 aciertos distribuidos en tres ejercicios diferentes de opcin mltiple, de llenar espacios vacios o de escritura, segn sea el caso. En total son 60 los aciertos que debes completar. El examen de ingls es un examen estandarizado, ya que es nico, aplicado el mismo da y a la misma hora a todos los alumnos que cursan la EE en la UV. Por la naturaleza del mismo no se aplica fuera de la fecha y hora oficial establecida. Su valor equivale al 40% de la calificacin total. EXAMEN FINAL ORAL El examen final oral es el complemento de la evaluacin final que evala la expresin oral, tiene un valor de 20% y una duracin de no ms de 7 minutos. Es similar a la prctica que realizas en el Club de Conversacin. Este examen consta de tres secciones: Preguntas de informacin personal cerradas. Ejemplos: Whats your name? Where are you from? What do you study? Etc. Una serie de 4 a 5 preguntas abiertas acerca de un tema especfico que puede corresponder a cualquier Tema de tu programa de estudios. Aqu es recomendable que des no slo una respuesta, sino que cumplas con lo que se te pide o te preguntan. Ejemplos: Tell me about your weekend. What are you wearing today? What are you like?
Una conversacin en pareja que es desarrollada inmediatamente despus de leer la situacin que se escoge al azar de cualquier Tema. Sigue las siguientes recomendaciones:
Tienes entre 3 a 4 minutos para realizar la conversacin. Lo recomendable es leer la tarjeta de la situacin junto a tu compaero para ponerse de acuerdo. Comentar con tu compaero tu papel y el de l o ella y definir claramente el objetivo de la conversacin. Usar las palabras o expresiones gua slo como ejemplos, pero enfocarte en el objetivo de comunicacin. Recordar que esta conversacin es similar a lo que realizas en los clubes de conversacin en la ltima etapa. 43 ASESORIA La asesora acadmica es parte importante de tu aprendizaje y se entiende como un medio de comunicacin ms personalizado, abierto, y libre entre el acadmico y t; en el cul no slo se habla de los aspectos acadmicos de la EE, sino tambin se trata de ahondar en tu proceso de aprendizaje y las estrategias de aprendizaje que ests utilizando. Por lo que se puede concluir que el objetivo de la asesora es guiarte y apoyarte en tu proceso de aprendizaje a travs de consejos y recomendaciones para que tu aprendizaje sea ms efectivo. Las asesoras son muy recomendables para cuando presentes dificultades durante el curso.
PROYECTO FINAL INTRODUCCIN
En la bsqueda de un aprendizaje ms significativo del idioma Ingls acorde con las nuevas tendencias educativas que promueven el trabajo grupal y el uso de las herramientas tecnolgicas, se elabor este proyecto que consta de 3 tareas. Las tareas tienen como objetivo reforzar los temas estudiados en un contexto real y profesional. Esperamos que sta sea una gran experiencia que te deje un buen aprendizaje. Te deseamos mucha suerte en este proceso. Objetivos Los estudiantes utilizan funciones lingsticas bsicas de lectura para la comprensin de textos especficos a su rea en un ambiente de colaboracin, respeto y tolerancia.
Este proyecto est integrado por los siguientes rubros:
1. Complejidad: La prctica de la lectura en Ingls enfocada en el rea disciplinar implica el conocimiento de vocabulario, la aplicacin de tcnicas de lectura bsicas y complejas, el uso de diccionarios, la investigacin del contexto a abordar y el anlisis de los procesos o aspectos ms importantes de la lectura.
2. Investigacin: La lectura de textos cientficos en ingls permite al alumno involucrarse en hallazgos relevantes y actuales de su rea para motivar a investigar informacin relacionada con su disciplina a la vez que el alumno tambin incrementa el conocimiento del habla inglesa.
3. Tecnologa: El empleo de las Tecnologas de Informacin y Comunicacin (TIC) permiten al estudiante tener acceso a la informacin de manera ms rpida y sencilla, de esta manera ellos pueden ampliar su conocimiento y resolver tareas complejas con carcter crtico y creativo. Para realizar este proyecto, sigue los pasos de cada una de las siguientes tareas complejas que se te presentan (2) y la tarea integradora: Entrega de Proyecto (Tareas 1, 2 e integradora) al finalizar el Tema 9. NOTA IMPORTANTE: Se te darn cinco das hbiles despus del trmino de la Unidad 9 para su entrega. Por ejemplo, si el Tema 9 termina el sbado 4 de febrero, la fecha de entrega final ser el viernes 10 de febrero.

Complejidad: Utilizar los diversos buscadores en lnea para encontrar un texto relevante y aplicable a su rea. Aplicar estrategias de comprensin de lectura para entender las ideas principales del texto. Hacer un reporte en espaol de 150 a 200 palabras que contenga 1) ideas principales e 2) ideas especficas. Investigacin: Investigar la informacin relevante de un proceso, tcnica, descubrimiento, aplicacin o cualquier recurso cientfico de su rea.

Complejidad: Con base en la informacin del reporte realizado en la Tarea 1, en el texto trabajado y en las preguntas de anlisis se realiza una sntesis sobre las aplicaciones que tiene el conocimiento adquirido.
Investigacin: Investigar sobre el impacto que tiene el nuevo conocimiento adquirido a travs de esta lectura. Investigar las aplicaciones directas del conocimiento en el contexto de la comunidad.
Tecnologa: Emplear paquetera de procesador de textos para la redaccin de la informacin. Utilizar software para la edicin y creacin de elementos visuales.
Producto: Presentacin en PPT con la sntesis de la lectura trabajada para la aplicacin del conocimiento en su contexto profesional (Equipos de 2 a 3)
Complejidad: Organizar toda la informacin de forma clara. Producir de manera escrita, con imgenes, grficas y sonido una presentacin en PPT con base en la sntesis de la tara 2.
Investigacin: Investigar en internet, de las fuentes directas y medios impresos (si es necesario) lo que reste de informacin sobre el tema.
Tecnologa: Emplear el programa de Power Point para la presentacin del trabajo final que incluya edicin de sonido, imgenes y grficas.

Tarea 1 1. In grupos of 2-3, go to an Internet browser and find one relevant and aplicable text which must be related to your area of study. The text must contain relevant information of your area that explains a process, a technique or any other resource. Make sure the text will provide you with valuable knowledge. 2. PRINT THE TEXT AND WRITE THE NAMES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GROUP. 3. In groups of 2-3, check the text and get the main ideas of each paragraph of the text. Follow the steps below: a) Circle the repeated words b) Underline the friendly words (cognates : words that are familiar for you) c) Put into a square the words that you dont know. d) Compare the repeated words with the images or graphics of the text. e) Discuss the relation among the repeated words and the friendly words with the images. f) Look up the meaning of the unknown words with some electronics dictionaries as: http://www.wordreference.com and make a glossary with this structure:
