    Did you know the United States (corporation) does not have any employees because there is no longer a United States? CIVIL DEATH defined: The state of a person who, though possessing natural life, has lost all civil rights and as to them is considered civilly dead. Hiroko Kawakita Hayashi v. Lorenz, Cal. App., 258 P.2d 1039,1042. In some states, persons convicted of serious crimes are declared to be civilly dead which means that certain civil rights and privileges of the convicted offender including the right to vote and contract and to sue and be sued are forfeited. See also Civil disabilities, infra. A corporation, which has formally dissolved or become bankrupt leaving an estate to be administered for the benefit of its shareholders and creditors, becomes civilly "dead." In re Great Plains Royalty Corp., C.A.N.D.,471 F.2d 1261,1265. Black’s Law Dictionary Sixth Edition (page 245) CIVILITER MORTUUS defined: Civilly dead; dead in the view of the law.
