The University of the Punjab (PU) is one of the top ranking Institution in Pakistan. The
Medical Colleges of the Province of Punjab remained affiliated with the PU for a period
of more than one hundred years. After the establishment of the University of Health
Science (UHS) Lahore, the medical colleges were shifted to affiliate with UHS. However
couples of medical colleges are still affiliated to the PU. The University of the Punjab is
also going to establish her own medical college in the Quaid e Azam Campus with the
attachment to Zaid Hospital for practical training purposes. The PU has all the necessary
facilities like infrastructure, staff and building required for the Master of Science in
Public Health.
3- List of each participating site for the program along with their assignments.
However, the public health program does not need a separate hospital for practice and /or
internship training but instead a field and/or community for the conduct of research and data
collection. However the clinical trials and case control study can be carried out in the already
existing university Hospital. Preferably the facilities of neighboring public hospitals may be
benefitted by the health professional Students admitted in the MPH program.
