FD 5 SRP 2014, BANCALORE, DATED 8'n April 2014 Govemment are pleased to sanction iDcrease in the rates of Dearness Allowance payable to the State Government employees ill the Revised Pay Scales 2012 from the existing l5ol, to 217" ofBasic Pay with effect from l'r January 20t4. 2. These orders will apply to the fLrll time Government employees. employees of Zilla Pancl'nyats. work charged employees on regular time scales of pay. full tirne Employees of aided educational Institutions and Universities who are on regular time scales ofpay. 3. For the pMpose of grant of Deamess Allowance. the tel]l. 'Basic Pay' means. pay drawn by a Govemment Employee in the scale ofpay applicable to the post held by lrim and includes: a. Stagnation increment, if any. granted to him above the nEximunr of the scale ofpay. b. Personal Pay, ifany, granted to him ulder sub-rule (3) of Rule 7 of the Kamataka Civil SeNices (Revised Pay) Rules. 2012. c. Additional incremert. if any. gmnted to hin1 above the maximum of the scale ofpay. 4. Basic Pay shall not include any emoluments other than those specified above. 5. Government are also pleased to sanction increase in the mtes of Dearness Allowance f'rom the existing l5o to zly" of the basic pensior/family pension with effect fiom l'I January 2014 to the State Govemment pensioterVfamily pensioners and pensioners/family pensioners of the aided educational institutions whose pension/family pension is paid out ofthe Consolidated Fund ofthe State. 6. Govenrment are also pleased to sanction increasd in the rates of Deamess Allowaoce ftom the existing l5o/o to zlyo of the basic pension/family pension with effect fro l'r January 2014 to the pensioners/family pensioners who were drawing pay in the UGC/AICTE/ICAR scales of oav. 7. Separate orders will be issued in respect ofenrployees on UGC/AICTE/ICAR/NJPC scales ofpal and also in fespecl of\JPC pensioners. 8. The increase in Dearness Allowance admissible under this order is oavable in cash. 9. The payment on account of Deamess Allowance involving fractions of 50 paise and above shall be rounded ot'f to the next rupee and fractions less than 50 paise shall be ignored. 10. The Dearness Allowance will be slrown as a distinct element ofremuneration and will not be treated as pay for any purpose.
