MeDeX 80 is a formulated chelating agent able to chelate ionic mercury present,
forming a stable compound that is very soluble in aqueous medium, while
functioning aggressively in elevated temperatures or ambient conditions.

Our chemists have come up with a ground breaking innovation to
decontaminate mercury from contaminated vessels, tanks, vapour spaces, spills,
etc.
Hydrocarbon Decontamination (LEL/VOC)

Hg Desorption
HyDeX is a breakthrough in chemical technology which can massively reduce
decontamination time
Decontamination of large systems takes an average time of 8.25 Hours!!
Chemical usage is a fraction of traditional methods
Application requires less equipment and less manpower than existing methods
while being effective at any temperature
HyDeX reduces shutdown waiting period for Degassing, LEL, Hydrocarbon Free

Combined System
The removal of elemental and compound Mercury that has been absorbed into
vessel and pipeline walls (Absorbed) is possible using a solution that entices the
Mercury out through an engineered pickling-like process before stabilizing it as a
Sulphur compound (Mercaptan).

The ONLY chemical independently proven to do this is MerCure

MerCure is water based and contains sacrificial and non-detrimental
components in a synergistic and fast acting formula.

The desorption of elemental and compound Mercury prior to hot work on
contaminated steel is a MUST to protect personnel from (lethal) elevated Hg
vapours and can be achieved quickly and effectively with MerCure
The desorption of elemental and compound Mercury prior to disposal of
contaminated steel is a MUST and can be achieved quickly and effectively with
MerCure to ensure safe disposal criteria is met.
The decontaminated steel is pre-cut to ensure swift handling directly into steel
mills without the need to cut further by 3

party with or without the correct PPE.
MerCure is (currently) capable of:
67% reduction in 10 mins

The effect of a 5% addition of PARALAX on 14 API Crude Oil
Where hydrocarbon sludge has solidified or waxed up, the viscosity of the
sludge can be reduced with paraffin wax returning to solution and separation
phases becoming more pronounced and easier to achieve with the addition of
Paralax
Solidified sludge
Addition of water shows the
separation of oil from solids

Heavy Metals, including Mercury, can be encapsulated and rendered INERT with
the addition of HM Fix
e.g. Hg-contaminated pipe from an LNG facility was filled with the HM Fix solution
in a 10:1 ratio with water. This was allowed to sit (soak) for 1 hour before being
cleaned out using PIGs.

Analytical wipes were taken from the surface both before and after the

Mercury and Mercury-contaminated waste should be correctly segregated
from normal waste to prevent cross-contamination.
Non-hazardous waste containing Mercury-contaminated items is
automatically re-categorized as Mercury-contaminated hazardous waste.
