SAFETY STATEMENT OF ENZO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS LTD

This document sets out the safety policy of Enzo Electrical Contractors Ltd. So far
as is
reasonably possible, the company will ensure that each place of work and the
materials, equipment, plant and machinery used are safe and comply with
statutory requirements. As and where required, direct employees will receie the
necessary information and trainin! to carry out their tasks correctly and safely.

SECTION 1: POLICY STATEMENT
Enzo Electrical Contractors Ltd is committed to proidin! a safe, healthy and
enironmentally
acceptable place of work for all persons on the premises. 3nder the Safety,
$ealth and %elfare at %ork &Construction' (e!ulations )*+, &S.-. .o. )/+ of
)*+,' all persons workin! on sites operated by
Enzo Electrical Contractors Ltd are required to co8operate with mana!ement in
achiein! this aim.
-n order to assist mana!ement in the implementation of this Act, while at work9
1. All employees must take reasonable care for their own safety and health
and that of any other persons who may be a:ected by their actions or
omissions.
2. Employees must co8operate with the company in the application of the
Safety, $ealth and %elfare at %ork &Construction' (e!ulations )*+, &S.-. .o. )/+
of )*+,'
3. Employees must not intentionally interfere with or misuse any means,
appliance, conenience or equipment proided in compliance with the Acts
or otherwise for securin! the safety, health and welfare of employees or
other persons occupyin! the same work area. This is essential for personal
safety.
4. Employees must report to their employer any defects they notice in the
place or system of work, which mi!ht be dan!erous to safety and health.
;. Employees must use protectie clothin! and equipment in order to secure
their safety, health and welfare. -n particular9

SECTION 2: RESPONSIBILITIES
The followin! safety#protectie measures are in operation for the safety of sta:9

1. All sta: will be instructed in the correct use of machinery, plant and
equipment as applicable and operators chan!in! duties will be !ien
instruction in the safe use of any machinery, plant and equipment new to
them. Any operators who feel they hae not been adequately trained should
immediately brin! it to the attention of the Safety 1?cer.
2. All machinery and electrical equipment are Atted with adequate safe!uards.
.o machinery should be used without proper safe!uards.
3. Appropriate protectie clothin! and equipment must be used on all
occasions ie., hard hats, protectie footwear, safety specs, protectie
!loes.
4. All work at hei!hts must be carried out in a safe manner usin! the
appropriate sca:oldin! and other equipment necessary to ensure a safe
place of work and safe means of access. -n particular9
&a' .o work is to be carried out on sca:oldin! or mobile towers unless it
is fully boarded, safety rails are in position and si!n o: and ta!!ed.
&b' All sca:oldin! to hae ladders for climbin!.
&c' All ladders to be secured.
&d' Safety harnesses are to be worn wheneer workin! on unsca:olded
steelwork.
;. All hand tools and machines used on site to be ++* olts or battery
operated. .o ))* olts hand tools to be used on site.
=. $and tools or machines with frayed or dama!ed cables are not to be used.

C. Sta: may not attend the site whilst under the inDuence of dru!s or alcohol.
/. Sta: takin! medication should obtain conArmation from their medical
practitioner that it is safe to attend work and operate machines. All illnesses
must be reported to mana!ement.
+*. $ands must be washed before commencin! work. %hen work ceases for
lunch or at the end of the day, hands should a!ain be washed.
++. 1eralls will not be worn in canteens shared with clients.
+). Smokin! will only be allowed in areas desi!nated by clients.

procedures of operation and to ensure that they are kept up to date.

SECTION 3: RIS& ASSESSMENT
Enzo Electrical Contractors Ltd continuously carries out an assessment of the
hazards and dan!erous
situations at sites of work. These are not held in this document but are kept
separately alon! with mana!ementKs actions taken and recommendations for
reduction of the risks inherent therein.
