There is no particular evidence found about the origin
and history of Tussar silk. However, borrowing from raw
silks history, it is said that Tussar silk was discovered in
medieval times. It is produced from the larvae stage of
several silk worms of local trees like Sal, Arjun and Saja.

from cocoon and then the weavers starts extracting silk
