Timerime.comisallowsyoutocreatetimelinesthatincorporateimages,YouTubevideo,mp3intoavirtualtimeline.
Allyouneedtosignupisavalidemailaddress.Hereareinstructionsonhowtoregister:

2. Takealookatthesampletimelineonthefrontpage

3. ClickonLogin/Registeratthetopofthepage

4. ScrolldownthepageandfillouttheinformationunderRegisterforafreeTimeRimeaccountincluding
username,email,password,andthecode.CheckthetermsofuseboxandclickonREGISTER

5. CheckyourinboxforanemailfromTimeRimeaskingtoconfirmyouraccount.

6. GotoTimeRimeandmakesureyoucanlogin.Ifyoucanyouaresettogo.Ifyouarehavingproblemsemailor
talktoyourteacherforagenericlogin.
TimeRime Tutorial (Dont Lose This!!!)

The website is located at www.timerime.com
Signing up for an account is free. All you need is to create a username and password to register. TimeRime will send you
an email to verify your account and then you should be good to go.
Once you get to the site you can look at some examples on the front page.
The scrollbar below the timeline allows you to scroll left and right with arrows and the dark grey scrollbar.
The orange buttons allow you to change the earliest and latest visible date. The numbers in the light grey area of the
scrollbar display the minimum and maximum date of all open timelines.
Tips:
By pressing control on your keyboard and subsequently pressing the left mouse-button, you can select a section of
the timeline and zoom in.
The +and on your keyboard are for zooming in and out.
The <and >on your keyboard are for scrolling left and right
By moving your cursor over the timescale you can easily highlight items in the timeline
Login to Timerime by clicking on the my TimeRime tab and entering your email/password


Add timeline
Add timeline or Make new Timeline takes you to the wizard that will guide you through the process:

General information - Here you can name your timeline and add an explanatory text about the timeline that will
be displayed in the general information tab. The timeline will be activated once you press the save button.

YOUR TIMELINE SHOULD BE SET TO PRIVATE!!!
Items - Here you can create the items that will be shown in the timeline application. The title of the item is the
label in the timeline. You can add a picture, a short text and html-text. The short text is shown on mouse-over
next to the picture.
o Your short description allows you write a brief description of the event.
o Your text underneath the timeline should include the description of what happened with the event AND a
separate paragraph explaining why it is important.
If you choose to add an end date to the item, an orange bar will appear on mouse-over representing the duration of
the item.
Zoom level: J ust leave at 1
You have the option to add one or more audio files to an item (mp3 format) that can be played in an mp3-player
in the timeline.
You can add videos/audio also by posting hyperlinks in the textbox section.
By clicking the YouTube icon you can embed clips from YouTube, other video websites, or even Google Maps.

Periods - A period always has a begin date and an end date, and can be seen as a bar under the items. You can add
html-text that shows in tab 3 if you click on the period. (Dont worry about this section)


You can change the icon for your timeline by clicking Change image
YOU CAN INVITE YOUR PARTNER TO HELP WITH THE TIMELINE BY PUTTING IN THEIR
EMAIL ADDRESS AND CLICKING SAVE.
YOU SHOULD INVITE YOUR TEACHER TO COOPERATE WITH YOUR TIMELINE SO HE/SHE
CAN GRADE IT:
