MECHANICAL PRODUCTION CONTROLLER | DISTELL | JANUARY 2014- PRESENT
Team leader for the line which is a fully automated FMCG environment which produces alcoholic
ciders over a 24 hour period. The throughput is approximately 800 000 bottled ciders per day.
The plant consists of a high speed filler, pasteuriser, labeler, numerous conveying systems as well
as high speed packaging machines. All project work is handled by me utilising the Maintenance
Department.

students were guided through the process of operating a pelton turbine, radial and axial flow

pumps and centrifugal pumps. Measurements of pressures, force and power output were
recorded. Students were then required to compose a report which the practical demonstrator
would assess.

Assembling of conveyor belts which passed through various refrigeration systems. The assembly
consisted of the basic frame, bearing and roller attachment, belt sizing and fitting as well as motor
placement.

the machine at increments until the desired radius was achieved
