I/A folders for I/O (charac n KF)

RC create I/A in drop down gv name n desc.
I/O catalogue folders for charac / KF
RC on I/A create I/O catalogue slt charac/KF gv name n desc. clik on create button down right
Back on main screen clik on activate button on tool bar lowest
RC I/O catalogue create I/O gv name (3-9 charac) n desc.
Gv values to LENGTH, DATA TYPE,
Clik on check (left of activate button) clik on activate
Now u cn DC on ne I/O created clik on change button (on toolbar) 2 chang its properties
Eg. There is a customer table cust id is the main charac rest (name, add, fon, etc) r its attributes or
properties.
So wen v creat I/O for all these each charac (Now u cn DC on ne I/O created clik on change button
(on toolbar) 2 chang its properties )
Select attribute tab (whichz d last 1) clik n drag rest of charac in d gvn space activate


I/O data target/infoprovider
In d abuv eg. RC cust id (main charac) slt maintain master data on d pg dat appears clik on button
EXICUTE (tool box) it will show the empty table dat has been created wid main charac+others.
V linked one main charac to other attributes so that it bcums one entity/one table into which data
would be fed. Apart frm the main charac, other charac when undergo maintain master data, they
only show one feild wn xcutd.
Our source: flat file (xcel sheet wid table havin all the above charac cust id, name, add,...etc). Now, v
hv to map values of each feild in xcel sheet into its respective I/O created (cust id values from xcel
into cust id I/O, etc...)...this mapping of source feild to respective target I/O is called
TRANSFORMATION.
Nxt v create asmthin calld DATA SOURCE a structure/vehicle dat allows data to flow thru it into the
I/O or Infoprovider, which actually stores data. DS doesnt stor data, data jst flows thru it.




V r creatin a connection b/w the actual flat file (xcel) and the target BI I/O.

This is a conectn n nebody cn use it to load their flat files.
Now v hv 2 create DS
Wn v create DS, PSA is automatically created (its a part of DS), where the data is 1
st
stored.





Now same as I/As while creatin I/Os, sly v create folders to store our DSs, called APPLICATION
COMPONENTS.











Save d flat file (xcel) in csv format at source.

Put a comma (,) there.




top row in our source table is the header row n rest r d data rows.


Proposal nt actual loadin, its jst a test load to chk wether d mappin is correct.





Do everythin as internal.





V hv created d DS n PSA automatically gets created, nw d nxt step is 2 load data into PSA.
Infopkg sends data from d source file to the PSA thru d DS.
