Special Issue on
Green Wireless Communications:
Theory and Practice
Call for
Papers
The objective of this special issue is to present a collection of high!uality research papers
that report the latest research advances in the area of green "ireless communications and
net"or#s$ "hich mainly includes the intelligent control$ or efficient management$ or optimal
design of access net"or# infrastructures$ home net"or#s$ terminal e!uipment$ and etc.
Communications industry is not only a hightech one$ but also a highenergyconsuming
one. With the continuous e%pansion of net"or#s scale$ the numbers of core device$
po"er system$ engine room and base station are increasing greatly$ "hich lead to energy
consumption seriously. Thus$ green "ireless communications "ith the aiming of energy
costs and C&' emissions( reducing$ and environment protecting$ has become a potential
research focus for all the ne%tgeneration communications( and net"or#s( designers.
In this special issue$ "e see# original "or# on identifying ne" research and development
challenges and developing ne" techni!ues and algorithms in green "ireless
communications and net"or#s.
Potential topics include$ but are not limited to:

The energyefficient "ireless net"or#

architecture design

The energyefficient protocol design

The optimal planning of energyefficient

net"or# topology

The energyefficient handover in hetero

geneous net"or#s
