This article explains the geographical point of view of Istanbul. It talks to me about the
land area of istanbul, the government structure,urbanization has been changing overtime,
and over population Not only does it explain these three different topics but it helps me
connect how the over population and is affecting space capacity.

This article explains the population in Istanbul. It divides into three different subsections:
1. the population in urban areas, 2. the new transportation due to over population and 3.
the basics of the amount of people in past, present, and near future. it helps me get an
understanding with how many people there are in Istanbul and how much it has increased
since the new urbanization and also how they have changed the transportation to help
with the traffic due to over population.

This article explains the early foundation of the city (constantiple), the EARLY urban
development of the city, and it talks a little bit about education and culture. This article
gave me useful information because i was able to understand the basics of how the city
started. It also taught me that Istanbul has been changing every year with new urban
developments. It also gave me small information about how the people of Istanbul live
their lives giving me information about schooling and how it works and the civilization
of the people.

This website gave me a picture of a view of the Bosphorus Strait. It was helpful to me so
I could show people what the strait looked like from a higher view and was able to put it

This was a skyline picture of istanbul at night. It shows a panoramic view of the
Bosporus bridge to show my viewers what Istanbul looked like from a view above. I used
this picture as my header featured on the home page and which showed up on every page
at the top as well.

The politics and government structure of Istanbul is described in this article. It talks about
the voting structure and how often a person becomes elected and how long their term is.
It also tells me the three structures of the government; democratic, secular, and
parliamentary. This article was very useful for me in the Government structure section of
my website.

This article was very useful. It gave me a lot of information about the demographics, the
geography, climate, housing, traffic, health tourism and even economic numbers. It gave
me a widge range of different subjects and gave me a good understanding of how much
% of something there is.

On this website I was able to find a picture of a few people waiting for a bus in 1998. I
really liked this picture because you were able to tell the difference on how the buses
looked and the difference in the urban structure of the area surrounding it.

This image gave me a beautiful picture of the Hagia Sophia. It is a view from high above
so you can see the whole structure from below and above. I found this picture very useful
because I was able to put it under my sacred sites section to show my viewers what the
Hagia Sophia looked like.

A long time ago Istanbul was known for its gardens. This picture I found was a picture of
what is left of an old agricultural farm in Istanbul. In the picture you can see how old it is
with the stone building surrounding it. I put this picture on my resources page because I
talk a lot about the bostons so I wanted to incorporate what one of the old farms looked
like.

The way Istanbul is structured today is very different from the way it was when it was
first founded. This website gave me a picture of what Istanbul looked like during
Constantinople times. It was very useful because on the map you are able to see where
the houses was, or where mosques churches and buildings were. I liked this picture a lot
and found it really useful because it is placed next to a recent map and you are able to see
the difference between now and than.

Istanbul is known for its old trams they had/ still have. This picture shows the tram still in
use.

This article talks a lot about the economy of Istanbul mentioning the very unique
characteristics it has. It mostly describes how the income of istanbul and popularity has
helped out turkey. It also says the importance of its trade both domestic and international.
Since Istanbul makes up a majority of the population in Turkey, keeping Istanbul "alive"
is very important.

This article gives me a whole explanation of Istanbul describing the foundation of it, the
landscape, how the city is laid out, important monuments/ sacred sites, the people and
society of istanbul, and the growth throughout the centuries. This is very useful for me
because it gives me loads of different useful information. I was able to learn about how it
became urban and the new foundation of it, and I also got some facts about the people of
Istanbul.

The metro, bus's and train routes are very confusing in Istanbul because there are so
many routes. This website gave me a great picture of the public transportation routes. I
was able to see where things were (even if it wasn't in english) and it was a good visual
aid for people to look at when they are reading about the public transportation.

This was also a very good map of the bus routes. it was even clearer to look at with thiner
lines and had english in the key. It was very helpful for me because I knew there was a
ton of transportation services but this way I could see where everything went and how
many routes there are.

This map was very useful towards me. It showed me a picture of Istanbul and how the
growing urban population has looked like and changed over the years. I put this map on

This website gave me a picture of the Grand Bazaar. The grand Bazaar is an important
site on Istanbul so I thought it was a very useful pretty picture to use on my sacred sites

This article explains different aspects of Istanbul. It mentions the Architecture and natural
disasters which force it into change. It also mentions when they decided to change all of
Turkey forcing Istanbul to change its language, laws, ect. It was very useful for
information about the modernization and urban growth of Istanbul. I learned that it
started to change after world war two and the growth of the population throughout time.
overall the source was about the different changes in Istanbul.

This is a picture of the current mayor of Istanbul. I needed this picture for my political
government section because there aren't really any pictures you can use for it, so I put a

This tells me about the vegetation of Istanbul throughout the centuries. Over the years a
group of people called "bostans" would help with planting vegetables and provide for the
country. It talks about how than later the over population and urbanization pushed out
these bostans and made it more difficult for vegetation to grow. This article examines the
contribution of vegetation and how important it is to the city.

This is a unique picture of people dancing in the streets of Polonezky. They are dressed
up in outfit doing some type of Turkish dance for everyone to see. I liked this picture a
lot because I thought it was a different side of Istanbul no one knows about.

This article was very useful for me because it was the only one that explained a lot about
transportation. I was able to find all the seventeen ways of transportation in Istanbul and
separate information about some of them. I leared about the two freeways and how they
go across town to privde transportation all around.
