o ,hile starting the acti%ity) we will sing the bird al$habet song to get to know the birds& ,e will sing it a
few times) and then begin the card game&
o ,hen the song is o%er) - will $ass out feathers to children& *fter the feathers are $assed out - will ask if
all birds ha%e feathers while the children get to feel and e.$eriment with the feathers&
o - will then e.$lain that not all birds ha%e feathers& That 'enguins are birds) and they are flightless and
featherless&
o - will then ask the children to name off birds that cannot fly&
o - will then tell a list of birds that cannot fly the /iwi) 'enguin) and 0strich&
o - will then take out the cards and re%iew with the children the different ty$es of birds&
