to understand and respond to oral texts in a variety of contexts.
Learning standards : 1.2.1 Able to participate in daily conversations:
a) Exchange greetings
d) Talk about oneself
e) Introduce family members and friends
1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral
texts by:-
a) Answering simple Wh-Questions
Learning outcomes : At the end of the lesson, the pupils are able to:
(i) Ask and answer Wh-Questions
(ii) Talk about their self and friends
Skills : Listening and Speaking
Previous knowledge : The pupils have learnt to introduce themselves.
Moral values : Respect other cultures and appreciate friendship.

Teacher divides the
pupils equally into
two groups. Each
group must have
multicultural pupils.
Teacher asks one
group to create a
big circle (Circle 1),
and another group
to create a small
circle (Circle 2)
inside the big circle.
Teacher asks the
pupils in the Circle
1 to turn back and
face their friends at
the Circle 2.
Pupils in Circle 1
are required to ask
their pairs using
questions they have
learnt. After that,
pupils in Circle 2
take turn to ask
their pairs.
After answering the
questions, pupils in
Circle 2 move a
step to the right.
In multicultural
classroom, each pupil
need to communicate
to get to know each
other.
This activity gives
each pupil opportunity
to increase their
social skill.

pair.
They get Jane
name.
They have to
complete the script
using Janes
information.
They have to act
out the phone
conversation using
the script they

Teacher asks pupils
to sit in pairs.
Teacher gives each
pair a cup
telephone and a
name of their friend
from different race.
Teacher also
provides each pupil
an incomplete script
for the cup phone
conversation.
Teacher asks the
pupils to fill the
blanks in the script.
After all pupils have
completed their
script, they can act
out the cup phone
conversation with
their pairs.

This activity enable
the pupils to introduce
their friends
creatively.
